Tennessee State University offensive tackle, Cornelius Lewis, was named to the 2008 Associated Press FCS 1st Team All-America team.
Lewis, a 6-5, 310 lb, senior from Jacksonville, Fla., is a two-time All-Ohio Valley Conference 1st team player. C-Lew transferred to TSU from Florida State in 2007 and quickly earned a starting spot, played and started in all eleven (11) TSU games in 2007. In 2008, he had 35 knock down blocks and has blocked on an offensive line that in 2007 and 2008 has led the OVC in rushing…Has also blocked for a 1000+yard rusher over the past two seasons…Did not give up a sack in 2008.
Lewis is being considered for several post-season All-Star games and has caught the eye of NFL scouts.
