Nick Hansen led four Weber State players in double figures with 16 points and the Wildcats beat Prairie View 78-68 on Thursday night for third place in the Los Angeles regional of the 2K Sports Classic.
Kyle Bullinger added 14 points, Daviin Davis 13 and Kellen McCoy 12 for the Wildcats (1-1), who shot 57 percent from the field but committed 23 turnovers.
Chris Jones scored 17 points for Prairie View (0-2), while Derek Johnson, Darnell Hugee and Dorian McDaniel each had 11.
With Weber State clinging to a narrow lead, Bullinger and Davis combined to score the team’s final 13 points, including eight consecutive free throws.
