The Grambling State Lady Tiger basketball team hits the court on Sunday afternoon with an exhibition match-up versus Huston-Tillotson at 3 p.m. in the Assembly Center.
Led by first-year head coach Donnita Drain, the Lady Tigers return all five starters and nine letterwinners from last year’s squad. In addition to an experienced roster, Grambling will also welcome 10 newcomers to the team as they set out to improve on last season’s 2-26 record.
Following Sunday’s exhibition, Grambling will open the regular season on Wednesday, Nov. 19 with a road match-up at Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas.
They can only do better. I love my Alma Mater, but I was ashamed that the Lady Tigers were ranked last in the nation last year.
