• Grambling State continues win streak.
Grambling State is currently on an 11-match win streak. This sets the mark for the longest win streak in the conference this season. Alabama State won five straight in early September. In 2007, Both Prairie View and Grambling State each built eight-match win streaks while GSU and Mississippi Valley each put together seven-match streaks. In 2005, Grambling State posted an 11-match win streak while Alabama A&M posted a 12-match win streak. However, Mississippi Valley State won 23 consecutive matches in 2005.

Grambling State and Alabama State are ranked in the top 15 in the nation in service aces per set. The Lady Tigers lead the nation averaging 2.57 aces per set while the Lady Hornets are 11th averaging 1.85 aces per set.
Mississippi Valley State outside hitter Kantessa Bryant is first in the nation in aces while Grambling State’s Markesha Warner is third and Alabama State’s Anna Meinert is ninth.
