Grambling State continues win streak
Grambling State is currently on a eight-match win streak. This sets the mark for the longest win streak in the confernce this season. Alabama State won five straight in early September.
In 2007, Both Prairie View and Grambling State each built eight-match win streaks while GSU and Mississippi Valley each put together seven-match streaks.
UAPB snaps losing streak
After a 17-match losing streak dating back to last season, the Lady Lions of the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff garnered their first win of the season with a 3-1 win at Southern this past weekend.

Grambling State and Alabama State are ranked in the top 15 in the nation in service aces per set. The Lady Tigers lead the nation averaging 2.44 aces per set while the Lady Hornets are 12th averaging 1.9 aces per set.
Texas Southern is third in the nation in blocks per set, averaging 2.96 blocks per set.
Mississippi Valley State outside hitter Kantessa Bryant is second in the nation in aces while Grambling State’s Markesha Warner is ninth in the country; Texas Southern’s Muriel Thymes is third in the nation in digs per set.
