The undefeated Prairie View A&M Panthers take on Grambling State at Dallas’ Cotton Bowl in a huge Western Division showdown. The Panthers have won six straight dating back to last year, while the Tigers have won two straight and three of their last four games.
Defending SWAC Champion Jackson State returns from an open date to play Southern. The Jaguars have won two straight and won their conference opener at Alcorn State last week. Jackson State has lost three of its first four games in 2008, but has won the last two meetings against Southern.
Alabama A&M, which won their last two games including its SWAC opner last week, will travel to Indianapolis to take on Tuskegee in the Circle City Classic. That game will be televised live on NFL Network.
Texas Southern, winners of three straight games, travel to Texas State in a game to be shown live on the Southland TV Network.
Alcorn State, coming off a tough three-point loss to Southern, travels to take on New Mexico State.
