Championship time is here as the Southwestern Athletic Conference gears up for the 2008 Indoor Track and Field Championships will also be held on March 1-2 at the Carl Maddox Fieldhouse on the campus of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Competition begins at 9:00 am on Saturday, March 1. It will continue on Sunday, March 2 at 9:00 am. 

The Lady Tigers of Grambling State will look to defend their 2007 title in women’s competition. Panthers of Prairie View A&M University will look to defend their title in the men’s division. Grambling State narrowly edged out Jackson State 135-130. Prairie View A&M dominated the men’s competition with 144 points, 32 points ahead of the second place Jaguars of Southern University. 

Admission is $6.00 for adults, $3.00 for youth and students with ID
