Will Jackson State stop wearing red uniforms? It’s a possibility

You dont know what you are talking about. Red has been used by JSU since the late 70s. So at this point, it's not random. And we dont gaf what Grambling has done. JSU is a bigger media giant than lil GSU and we have taken our red to another level. Yall could never have a red out in your lil tiny stadium. That's just what we do.... WE DO BIG THINGS.

The red DOES bind generations together that is why we fight for it and THAT IS WHY IS NOT GOING AWAY.
Red isn't random it's a copy of Grambling because Gorden simply thought tri-colors were cool/ or an in thing . Borrowing from Gram is nothing new( Rock da House) , but you can't change school colors & alienate other alumni. Those players & coaches won't dare go attempt to change school colors at the PWI'S that they bailed your schools for because they have strong traditions there . Attempting to recreate Grambling from decades ago is tradition now I guess.

Thanks for participating. Im sure Kenn appreciates a good JSU thread... lol
However do understand that we ARE blue and white. We have blue and white jerseys but we wont stop honoring the man that beat all yall to sleep and elevated JSU football to elite status.

At least we KNOW why we wear red. Yall have no clue. I suggest yall drop it. :snicker:
Tell em again 😆🤣 😂..He's CLUELESS

Let me make this clear. Nobody g*f about Grambling. If anything, Gorden copied from Tennessee State, his alma mater. They are blue and white with red accents. THAT was the original gripe among alumni in the 80's and 90s. NOBODY mentioned or thought of no Grambling. Valley also wore red so GSU didnt invent using red as an accent. Im confused as to how Grambling got in this convo. (Im trying my best to type this respectfully so I dont get a DM from Fiyah!) 🤣 🤣 🤣

As for alienating alumni, this is simply not the case. We have been wearing red now for over 40 years and, again, the largest part of the CURRENT fanbase supports the red. Now go find you and your football team some relevance and come back later.

He is working on the water system.
I'm always confused when people think getting a football stadium is a priority. We have the best stadium in the conference but people want us to spend $200M to get one on campus? smh

🤣 it's old and rundown with wires all over the place with cement cracks and areas where you can't even sit - it has served its time even with the lipstick

I was always confused about MVSU's colors.
Is it officially green and white?
OR is it green and white and red?
Red is used as an accent for Valley.
BUT why nobody complain about black jerseys?
Ppl make a big deal out of THEE JSU Gorden Red because we do it BIG. I bet Grambling could NEVER pull off a red-out. We get 30K people to show up in red. It's unique and ppl are HATERS! But they aint us and it's nothing they can do about it.

The only teams that came close was Southern's 1999 Gold Rush in Jackson (of course...lol) and FAMU's Black Out but it was black and at night so it didnt look so good.
