How can you show you are a good steward when you a severely underfunded and you have to rob Peter to pay Paul? Don't fall for the okie doke. There may be mismanagement but underfunding many times leads to what appears to be mismanagement. They set us up to fail. The PWIs mismanage too but they have enough money to cover it up.TSU did this to themselves. They had an opportunity to prove to the state they were running the institution properly and were good stewards of state funds but they failed terribly with the audit. I don't understand how people are spinning this as some type of racial attack instead of what it honestly is. Clearly they are not looking at the facts and enjoy focusing on the race aspect of this fiasco. Not everything bad that happens to Black people is unfair or racism ... sometimes it's deserved
Was there fraud or criminal conduct mentioned in the audit? This is more than a Tennessee problem. The governor in Louisiana is seeking to appoint the chairman of the higher ed boards. Limiting African American access to higher education is a plan long in the making, with longer term consequences. We have to confront this attack on our very existence through civic mindedness and education. Apathy will no longer suffice. How can you show you are a good steward when you a severely underfunded and you have to rob Peter to pay Paul? Don't fall for the okie doke. You definitely live in fantasy land. It was definitely a move for them to take over and show power. This is the same legislature who suspended the two brothers.TSU did this to themselves.
