Y'all HBCUs better start copyrighting your trademark songs

I don't know about y'all, but a lot of HBCU originals are being robbed w/o deference (yeah it happens) to the originators. BUT you may want check that. And I didn't even go to an HBCU and I'm finding this a jacked up form of flattery, especially when it was kinda rough sounding.

I watched that game the other night and I swore maybe they brought a high school band in or something....:retard:

it does not fit them though......it's just a trend......but however, the day will come when some band will do it and damn near perfect it and that will hurt us
 
I'm not shocked... High Schools Play It so I'm not surprised to see a college band playing it as well.

BCC should be flattered :tup:
They already know that they're the Originators of that song and they know that no band can play it better than they can, so Hey... Nothing to fuss over!

That's one of the funkiest fight fanfares out there. I have always enjoyed hearing BCC play it. Im curious. When was this fight song incorporated? I dont' recall hearing BCC play it when we visitied them in the early 80s in Daytona. Just curious.

It's not their fight song. It is the band's rally cry - like Get Ready is to the Boom. I have heard their fight song but I don't know it by name. As for when Let's Go Wildcats came in, I think it was some time in the late 80's. I will try to check with my sources and find out.
 
Gotta give BCC their props! I always liked that.... Kept that energy flowing. My sidekick is still singing that since hearing it when we went to Ft. Lauderdale.

I know! That was nice! They were rocking in the stands!
 
BCU be doing it on "Let's Go Wildcats". I wish JSU played them again. I'd love to hear that in person.
