MANNNNNNN! Let's give the new A.D time to get some new shhhhhhhh and systems in place to for the betterment of the program and university. He is a key piece and hopefully one day we can get rid of that dam president Cheap Lenny with the sneaky grinnnnn smile.... Let Valley Nation put our dollars up with all the talk and HELP ELEVATE....

Unfortunately, even before the dust had settled on the long drawn out Ayers Litigation case it was realized that the agreed upon financial settlement was grossly inadequate!
All 3 Mississippi HBCU's was pimped by that Ayers decision. We will never be fully funded correctly regardless of how many lawsuits we file against the State of Mississippi. The federal government is the one's that never pressured the Southern states to adequately compensate all state supported HBCU's and that should have been forced under the Brown Supreme Court Case.

Valley leaving the SWAC should never be an option. However, (and I have been saying this for years), Valley has to water down their football schedule and start bringing in some non conference wins. There are plenty of low tier FCS, Division II and NAIA programs out there who Valley can beat convincingly.

Henry Frazier III can teach Valley a thing or two about building confidence and grabbing recruiting attention through smart scheduling/selling a rebuilding dream in the SWAC.

Put more support behind the athletic programs that are proven winners. Most might not care for soccer or softball but those girls have carried Valleys athletic program on their backs. They should be getting more recognition, support and donations. That football program on the other hand…..

Until the administration and the alumni invest into their athletic program and provide more money nothing will change. We all know resources is the main reason a school's athletic program can succeed; however their has to be concerted effort by the Alumni to put pressure on the Administration and back up that support with money and checks.

There is plenty truth behind your post, but until the administration and the alumni invest in their program, their Athletic Director must put together a master plan for bringing home more wins. Period. The AD should be calling smaller Division HBCUs who need SWAC/MEAC names on their schedule to sell tickets and make their schedules attractive.

Until their administration is serious about being a top 15 FCS and give their football program what they need to beat Austin Peay, their AD needs to make sure that they are at least beating who they can beat and hope for the best in conference play.

A 3-0 Mississippi Valley team going into SWAC Conference Play would be the center of attention for the entire conference that week no matter who or where those wins came from. Winning changes everything.

Tell that to Ole Blue Font on here, not us.

They cut football also but saw what it meant and quickly brought it back as they had games with strong draws -

Yup. And they started winning once they started getting in scholarships and talent along with smart scheduling. When Frazier took over, him and his AD understood what playing smaller division HBCU could do for the moral and attention of the program. The year PV won 5 games under his direction was the start of a new era. They lost 5 Conference Games the next year by 1 score, and then brought a 7 win season to PV before back to back 9 win seasons.

I keep referencing PV because they have proven that winning changes everything and have the blueprint in their library. Deals with Paul Quinn, Lincoln, Edward Waters, Langston, Texas College and Morehouse are in their archives. They did what they had to do to grab wins and build even if they took a bus ride to one of those smaller HBCU schools for a road trip. It wasn’t beneath them, so Valley should definitely take a trip to PV’s Sports Library and bring back some wisdom to their Athletic Department when it comes to FCS Football.

With the way my G-Men are looking these days, I am about to start begging our AD to open up with Lane, Allen Or Texas College next year!

MEANWHILE, at least give them a chance to get some wins. Why schedule automatic losses when already gonna get 4-5 conference losses?
