The 2023 tornado outbreak that devastated Rolling Fork and Silver City, Mississippi

Deeeeep In The Delta.....
This past weekend, I was in Rolling Fork and got to see first hand the destruction that the tornado caused in Rolling Fork and Silver City.

The f4 tornado formed just outside of Rolling Fork (population of a little over 2,000) and rolled through the center of town leveling everything (just scroll through the tweet thread). Silver City (under 500 people) is pretty much gone as a town with the same tornado destroying the town. It'll be years before things are somewhat back to normal in either town

If you are gonna organize something as far as donations, they really need clothing and toiletries (including laundry detergent)

Since these are mostly black people, I pray the state does not take the money meant to help these people, but they give it to white residences and / or or give the money to a PWI.
That's the Mississippi way. They will short change the black people and give that money to the other group. The insurance companies will devalue their property.

Really????

Yes really

If Tater Tot wins re-election, there is no doubt they will screw over Rolling Fork, Silver City and Winona (which is over 50% black but didn't get hit nearly as hard as the other two) but not Amory (white hill town that was already devestated by a tornado as well). Look at how they are doing Jackson now as far as trying to take over their water system (because of the $600 million coming from the feds to rebuild the water system)

Biden already has declared the areas federal disaster areas so billions will come into the towns and communities of Rolling Fork, Silver City and Midnight (small community south of Silver City that also got damaged)

What about what they are doing in Texas.
What are they doing in Texas?

I’m from Pontotoc, MS. That’s not far from Amory. What part of the SIP are you from?
