That's Just Who I Am...That's Just Me...

well...

Ummm? I think it depends on what they are referring to. Like? if they are talking about a personal/physical characteristic that can?t be changed, then I would tend to agree with that statement. Lets take me for example. A lot of Black people don?t like the way that I talk. It used to hurt my feelings when I was younger:bawling: , but know that I am older, wiser, and more mature I can look at their backwards sounding arses and say, ?you know what? this is me?so kiss my very Black arse!! ? But if they are referring to a habit or an action, then YES? it?s a cop out. Like if a guy that insist on having sex without a condom although he already has 6 kids by 5 different baby mammas. Or if a girl that was 130 pounds all throughout high school and college suddenly puts on 75 pounds and wears clothes tighter now than when she weighted 130. Or someone like my ex-co-worker who would smoke 2 packs a day yet sounded like she was going to cough up her lungs every 10 minutes. Or a gal that will head to the club when it?s 45 degrees outside with wet hair (because she just got out of the shower and didn?t have time to dry it), wearing a backless shirt and OPEN TOE SHOES?and stays sick with a cold or flu all winter long. Now situations like that? they are running from self-improvement.

Er...Ok Blauqe...do you need to share something with us? Stirred up some memories for ya I see. lol But I can relate to you on the verbal communication tip. Just because my @$$ don't sound like a country sippian from the back woods, I get questioned. I second you there...they can kiss my very brown @$$!!! :emlaugh:
