She wasn't fired because she was a woman, she was fired because she was a horrible fundraiser and lost a major cooperate sponsor. Dr Larry Robinson caused all of this when he basically middle fingered the process and placed her as the AD when she didn't even make the final cut. Sadly no one in this HBCU space does research. The person the committee wanted was a WOMAN. Lastly to say that the SWAC does not treat women kindly isn't correct. Southern in the 90s had Dr Deloris Spikes while under her leader enrollment grew and had a tremendous building boom during her time.She is still held in high regard at Southern.

Valley's female AD (and her 2 female assistant ADs) was flat out terrible. Our athletic budget shrunk under her and flat out couldn't raise money. Hakim raised more money in 3 months than she did in almost 10 years
