SWAC, MEAC, CIAA, SIAC Unify With New Poll

I don't understand. I thought the Celebration Bowl determined who the HBCU National Champ was for D1. I can understand D2.

Is this to consolidate the others and make this the official one?

I'll wait and see. There's an opportunity to do better and go beyond what is currently being done with other HBCU polls.

HBCU streaming platforms, highlights and interviews could be used to create weekly shows centered on the polling.

Ummmm... Hampton, TnSU, and NCAT a part of these polls?

Asking for a friend.

Is this all four conferences in one poll? What would the MEAC and SWAC have to gain by such an arrangement?

Nope. The Celebration Bowl is NOT a HBCU National Title game. Its just a bowl game that many outlets use to crown a National Champion. In 2021, 3 teams were crowned champions by 3 different publications. The HBCU Champion has always been a mythical championship.

We HBCU graduates understand this. It is/was widely known in our HBCU circles, fellow HBCU graduate. If one isn't HBCU, one would not know this.

👀 👍

LOL…I have been advocating for years for Bama State’s 1909 mythical Black Colleges championship.
