I'm just going to put this right here.

DALLAS (SMU) – In just seven days, SMU has raised $100 million to support the Mustangs' transition to the Atlantic Coast Conference, University officials announced today.

Do you know how many fish plates we gotta sell for just 10K? Man at some point we gotta get there!

I wonder what behind the scene changes got that to happen. Remember this is SMU that wants to cherry pick who they bring in. You don't WANT to play for SMU-SMU has to want you. I guess moving the the ACC and not wanting to be Duke & North Carolina's bytch in basketball will make you want to change some thinking.

How many season tickets packages is your school selling? If you can’t get people to do that, this ain’t ever happening.

It was suggested for folks that was not season ticket holders be required to purchase at least 2 tickets for the football game for homecoming to get a tailgate spot and some people are getting bent out of shape over that. Our folks just want to come to party and not support athletics.

Two tickets and two parking passes come with our tailgate spots. I think we pay the most out of all SWAC schools. Our spots start 735-850 for the year. How much is it in PVU?

This is the reason why:

"In a stunning concession, SMU agreed to a package of 0 dollars in media generated revenue for the first 9 years they will be in the ACC, starting in the fall of 2024.

In addition, SMU will have to pay the American Athletic Association (their current home) an exit fee of several million dollars, a total which has yet to be negotiated."

That's how badly SMU wants to be in a Power 5 conference.

Well yea, this was what allowed them to be able to take no money from the ACC's media deal.. their boosters had already said that they'd pay the money they needed.

Tailgate Cost per spot at PV, no tickets included in the cost.

Powered - $165 per game/$650 Homecoming/$1,075 Season including Homecoming/$425 Season excluding Homecoming
Non-Powered - $135 per game/$550 (hardtop) $500 (grass) Homecoming/ $900 Season including Homecoming/$350 Season excluding Homecoming

We have people that don’t want to buy season tickets at all! 4 Home Games for JSU and a GA season packet was $110. Individual game tickets go on sale and we have people buying a ticket for every game at $35 each 😂🤣 . Don’t make sense!
32.9% of Americans ages 18 and older have no more than $100 in their savings. I doubt if many JSU fans could pay $400, lump sum, for four-season tickets if they're earning minimum wage. $35 every game seems more sensible if you're living paycheck to paycheck with bills to pay.
