Scared Drivers!!! Argh!!!!!!!!!

Check this out. Yesterday afternoon while sitting in my office, I noticed that it had begun to rain. The problem is, I've had problems with the wiring in my Jeep, so my windshield wipers were not working. The day had been beautiful before the storm rolled up and I didn't watch nary a weather report.

So I decided that once the rain slacked, I was getting the hell out of dodge. Soon, the rain subsided so I hopped in the Jeep rolling. Not long after I get on the interstate I drive into a monsoon. HARD RAIN!!!! I was initially a little nervous, but quickly got over that. I'm still flying down the highway because I realize that my vision is better the faster I go, without the use of windshield wipers. My vision wasn't particularly bad, considering (it may have helped that my vision was once scored at 20/15 ;)). So I treked on in the storm with no wipers.

Then I started noticing car after car after car after car after car pulled over on the side of the road due to the rain. I'm thinking to myself "why are these fools pulled over. My arse is out her flying without wipers and they got wipers and still can't drive in this. WTF????" It's amazing the number of people we got on our streets that can't drive or are scared to drive in inclement weather, which means they can't drive. For a 10 mile stretch I know I saw about 50 cars on the side of the road with their emergency lights flashing. Damn shame they let a guy rolling in a ride with no wipers do something they couldn't do in fully functional vehicles.

BTW, I called the mofo that supposed to have fixed the problem two days earlier and asked him, "why am I driving down I-55 in the middle of a damn storm with no windshield wipers???"

Just thought I'd share my latest moment on the wild side. Hell, i'm going mountain climbing next. :D

No wipers...DAYUM!

Sounds like you got a dose of what I go through tryin' to share a snowy road with "southerners"...

It makes me wanna yell sometimes! :D

No matter how hard it rains, I really just can't see pulling to the side out the road.

Missy Elliot...send help!

I have always wondered why people just nut up when it rains. Anytime it rains here, dumb, stupid, and slow folks are at their worst!!!!! You may as well add an extra 30 minutes to your drivetime.

oh, btw,

ROTFLMAO!!!!!!!!

rob, When you were speeding and passing folks on the hiway and they saw you didn't have your wipers on, I bet they were like "Now look at that fool there" :D

Mental Note..... whenever riding through the Sipp look out for a mad man in a Jeep driving with no windshield wipers:D :emlaugh:
you might want to try Rain X on your windshields....it really works

No wipers..man that ain't ish!

I had no wipers for about 18 months when I was in school. The motor went out on my driver side and I didn't have the money to get it fixed. You know being a broke college student. Man I would ride rain or shine with no wipers. You think it was easy in the day....it is even easier at night. I think that is why I hate wipers now....I had gotten so used to not having any!

Just buy ou some rain-ex......and drive....as long as you are moving. You will be cool!

mighty hornet,

I was thinking the same thing. I know some folk thought they saw a fool yesterday.

MACBFAC,

I discovered yesterday that all I need is SPEED. :D I might go and get some of that Rain X, but that mofo is gonna fix the problem with the wiring.

Oh yeah. I learned this morning that the rain I conquered cause some serious flooding throughout the county yesterday. Actually led the news reports.

NOte to self:xeye: ...next time in mississippi and it raining look for jeep with no wipers :xeye:flying down highway....get in slow lane....:D

Robber, I was out in the rain also. I had just left Ryan's. Remember you were in Mississippi. We all know that MSians and LAsians cannot drive in the rain...(other than you and I
Melyfro.gif
). But I would prefer them to pull over than to panic
horror.gif
and cause an accident esp. with me. Just thank God they are getting out of the way!

Sheeeeeeeeeiiiiiitttttttttt....

rob, don't come to dtown then. These dumb arse mofos cannot drive on a 101 degree day w/ ZERO rain and ZERO percent humidity and ZERO clouds in the sky.... w/out watching what's happening ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE DAYUM FREEWAY (cop pulled someone over, someone's chuck wagon is stuck on the service road, somebody's horse is pissing, somebody is WALKING DOWN THE OPPOSITE SIDE service road, a green light JUST turned yellow on the OTHER SIDE OF THE SERVICE road, a piece of paper is on the opposite service road...)...

I liken these people to those peeps who couldn't understand the horseless carriage and all that it's capable of. I really wish the DOT would allow horse and buggy BACK on the freeway. These people would feel more comfortable w/ that method of transportation. These are some dumb arse *******. isht!

Get the fugg outta' my way man! isht! You see me doing 80mph dayum!!!!!!!

Robber, I would like to acknowledge that this happened to me yesterday afternoon while I was on the freeway going to class in the pouring rain.

Everyone was creeping in each lane, so there was no way I could attempt the "speed remedy," so I pulled over, got the toolkit out of the trunk, and fixed those bad boys myself and hopped back on the highway.

Yeah right!

You want us believe this story Tara? You can't even fix a ham and cheese sandwich.

If you saw a green Volvo on Hwy 290 @ W. 34th street, heading east at approximately 5:45p.m., Monday, July 2, 2001, then that would have been me, fixing my wiper blades. :p

My daddy showed me how after the "incident" at the reunion.

Re: Sheeeeeeeeeiiiiiitttttttttt....

This is called RUBBER NECKING! ... These fools in Houston will have 10 miles of cars backed up on the road only to find that when YOU reach the 10th mile...they are watching Jim Bob talk to Road Assistance because his car broke down on the SIDE of the feeder road!

Tara,

I believe you fixed them wipers. You strike me as a woman who can handle up on hers, if necessary.:D Hope you didn't get too wet, tho.

Then again, considering that there were men driving along the highway, and considering my memory of your upper torso, then you being wet as "L" alongside the highway doesn't sound too bad. :D

J4J,

I get so sick of folk "rubbernecking". Looking at a trashbag on the opposite side of the interstate and backing traffic up a mile. :redhot:

Bruh....

I've pictured Tara all wet w/ me clinging to her numerous times! LOL :D After 47 seconds of course! :emlaugh:

*mouth still watering*

I'll stop. I just thought about my wife for a moment and the look that she'd give if she caught me daydreaming/fantasizing about someone else. :( Damn... :(

Man, tell me about it. If mine knew an eigth of the stuff I be thinking/daydreaming about it, I'd have to call my lawyer.

Oh, and now you're up to 47 secs??? You gone mess around and be a 2 minute brotha in a minute.

LOL

If mine knew an eigth of the stuff I be thinking/daydreaming about it, I'd have to call my lawyer.

:emlaugh: You call your lawyer? LMAO ROTF! :D

I finally figured out that the women want a brotha' who is more than 45 secs. :D I'm striving to get to 2 mins. Once I do that, they'll be falling in my lap like leaves off a tree in the fall. :emlaugh:
