Oyster kills100's each year


People who live on the coast have a rule. Eat Oysters only during the months that end with "R". I used to eat them raw with lime or lemon juice squeezed on them. A few year back around 2018 or 2019 we went to Destin and I had an oyster shooter and i made me sick. I thought it was just an coincidence. So in 2023 I was in Portugal and you can get them off the ships fresh at restaurants an tried them fresh. I mean they were good. Well on the flight home the next day I started to get sick. I thought I was about to check out. So I will never eat them raw again. Only grilled or fried for me. I asked my doctor about this and he said as you get older your body will not let you eat what you did when you were younger sometimes. I can't lie though I miss eating them raw. So now I only eat cootie cat raw. Hell they taste about the same anyway. Slimy and wet. Sometimes a lil tart.
