Our issues will be the party promoters who we’ve been working undercover with anyway and the clothing lines.

What will hurt if we get a kid, coach him up to be legit and another school take him with the promise of an endorsement deal. So now we’re fundraising for individual students now.

In the end, it will work out in our favor. Black folks are the cultural creators for the world. We set the trends and everyone else follows. All we have to do is get creative with our programs and do what we have always done...promote US!

^^^ Both of yall made good points. As we saw this spring, the transfer portal works both ways so if you groom a guy for 3-4 years into an ALL-SWAC level player and they graduate, P5 schools can now tempt them away with selling them NFL dreams and 1-2 endorsement deals if they really believe in them

But playing time will always come into play when you are a P5 with 4-5 4-5 stars in one position so everyone can't see the field. If you are a school like JSU or even Valley, can you get Cannon to give them an endorsement to entice them to come to the SWAC? They're gonna get paid for NIL if they bring back NCAA Football and include FCS schools

Now you gotta be wise on who you hire now also as sponsors will try to be cheap. For example - State Farm will pay #5 a personal deal knowing he’ll be involved with the classic if he’s a legit star. Do the same for a band director without forking over title sponsor money.

And our athletes will have to now be lawyers and everything cause they can sign a deal that follows them to the NFL without reading fine print. Or in a college town - QB 1 from LSU gets 35k and SU QB1 gets 5k for the same ad.

Lastly - racial overtones will happen as popular all American white kid in Tuscaloosa or Athens, GA who has the bloodlines will be in high demand in they a star compared to JaQuan from the hood who goes to those same schools but doesn’t fit the image the locals want

Get ready. The Great Migration back to HBCUs is about to begin! No one can do it like us. Plus these NIL deals will eventually shed light on what's really going on in these P5 programs!

With that much transparency now, these kids will wake up and do what's best for them. If you can't get on the field, you can't market/brand yourself. It's that simple!

Bingo

Even if you can get far more riding the bench at Bama, you can't get to the league as a 4th stringer who has sat on the bench for 2-3 years. Playing time will always be a factor for most.

Our athletes are at schools with pre-law majors, professors with legal degrees who understand contracts, etc. There’s no reason going forward for our young people to be signing bad deals.

This is gonna be a prime opportunity to show the power of the Black dollar when combined with Black creativity and hopefully good Black bidness sense. Of course there will be some disparities initially with athletes at the big schools, but we’ll be able to level that out on our own with social media because we set the trends and now these youngsters can cut their own deals.

What I’m hoping is we’ll see more of our athletes forming teams of their friends in college instead of waiting until they turn pro and getting with a buncha whites. Like Lebron did even tho he skipped college.

I hope not bro
Bruh, seriously, y'all on the outside looking in. We have a LOT of disarray in the athletic department @ PVAMU.

PV won the commish cup because it offers every single sport, what, 18, right? And placed well. Also, we live to beat the living shit out of Southern University in every sport so... mission accomplished. lol
