College football's spring transfer period is officially in danger of being eliminated after the NCAA's FBS and FCS oversight committees recommended the sport move to a single offseason notification-of-transfer window.

Under their proposal, the 30-day transfer window in December would become the lone opportunity for FBS and FCS players to enter their name in the transfer portal and seek a new school. For the past two years, the transfer portal has also opened for a 15-day window in April.

Part of me is for it but part of me is against it (players who usually can enter the portal after Spring games won't be able to do so and will be stuck until December)

I think the one transfer portal window is good for everyone. It will allow for Coaches to build team chemistry through the spring. Also, for players it will keep coaches from cutting players after Spring Ball.

Fiyah who you going to replace them with. Picked over HS and JUCO guys. Also, I know FBS teams will scout FCS guys and pull them up in the Spring leaving our coaches scrambling.
