Hey y'all I just had to spread the word about this. Yesterday I went to Best Buy and picked up Alicia Keys new CD "Songs in A Minor". As far as new artist go this young lady IS the definition of talent. I highly recommend this CD. I can't force it out of my CD player. She has a ghetto-jazzy-symphony-R&B type vibe, and it's so soothing to hear something so fresh. She even did a short rendition of an old Brian McKnight song... "never felt this way". She just got added to my list of new artist for the year along with India Arie and Jill Scott. Just thought I would share my joy.

yeah... she looks young, but she said she had been writing "since" she was 14... as if she has been doing it for a while. I don't know about faking the deepness, BluBlood... some of that stuff you have to feel to write and express like that. Check it out on CDNow.... I am loving it.
 
Hey....

Has anybody heard of this brother named OMAR ???? He is from the UK, and his music is pretty tight. On his last album he did some songs with Erykah Badu and Jill Scott.

The only way I know to find his music is on CD-Now.

Anyway, I heard Alicia Keys and I don't like her....I guess she needs to grow on me. It was only one or two songs on the entire CD that I was feelin'.
