JAGUARS ROAR TO CHAMPIONSHIP
Madison Central outscored Provine 20-12 in the second quarter to give them a 10 point halftime lead on the way to a 56-48 win in the Class 5A State Championship game. Provine never got closer then 4 the rest of the game, as the Jaguars' balanced offensive attack kept them off balance.
Travis Reed led the way for Madison Central with 17, while Vincent Powell added 12. Chad Akins and Malcoln Kirkland had 10 each for the Jaguars (30-8).
Scottie Haralson led all scorers with 22 for Provine (29-5) and Demorris Summers added 19.
