Last Nite's Episode of "Girlfriends"

Now I have to give props to where props are due. After watching as much of MNF as I could stomach, I decided to watch the foxy honeys on this UPN show. Now I am a fan of the show, so this was not my first time watching. However, last nite's episode was the BOMB! I was just wondering if anyone else saw the episode and actually was excited that the show realistically captures the African-American culture as was evident in last nite's episode. I ain't one to give up all of the info, but I wanted to at least pull a few heads in to this discussion without spoiling it for those who missed the show.

If you missed it, all I will say at this point is that it ended with Donnie McClurkin singing We Fall Down!

Kudos to the ensemble and to Kelsey Grammar!

OMG

I didn't see the entire show but once I started watching I couldn't get back to football. (BTW, who won?) Anyway, I thought she would just forgive ole girl and it'd be over. Man was I wrong. SHE, what's her name (Joan)?, MOVED!!! Anyway, when Donnie started singing and Toni went up to the front, I started CRYING!! :bawling: Ok, maybe not bawling, but I was touched. It's almost like I could see her pain!
:emlaugh:
Ok, enough of that!

I enjoyed the show. It took the viewer in a different direction than most sitcoms, especially the ones that feature African-Americans.

Rattlerstrike, I agree. I felt a tug on the old heart also. No tears though. (after all, I met IKE)

The show last nite was very good! It was very touching and I agree w/ what everyone else said about the depicting of AA.

I to had a little water around the eye socket. I believed that showed the true meaning of friendship. I also agree with what that guy said on the show, they need to just oil up and go at it.but that's a different thread....lol
