Is It Time for Comegy to Retire?


This is not smack at Valley...please don't take it as such

But is it even possible to win at MVSU? From the outside looking in, it just seems as if Valley doesn't care about football. I really thought they would make some noise under Comegy.
 



Valley really needs to schedule better before SWAC play. They need some confidence building games badly. PV showed what could happen when they became serious about winning again. They scheduled accordingly and went from beating Paul Quinn and Edward Waters to winning SWAC games once they got a few talented kids in. It's the road Valley needs to take.


Comegy is a winner and has had 3 decent recruiting classes at Valley. However, I don't understand why he isn't starting Slade Jarmin at QB. Valley has better players on their sidelines, but their program has regressed. I don't see them winning a game this year.
 
Totten had access to transfers and JUCO players early on....it dried up after 2006 for whatever reason

The Aries Nelson teams was his best chance to win

Larry Dorsey had access to better high school talent then and they were patient with props also then...he went 7-4 in 1996

I'll never forget in 2004 when JSU played Valley....we came out of a timeout, and the ref's blew the whistle and put the ball in play, but Valley's defense was still on the sideline huddled around Totten. We simply lined up, hiked the ball and handed it off to David Kennebrew who pretty much went untouched into the end zone.

I remember we had a field day on here with that play. How yall cheated Valley and had to score "during" a timeout.

One game, we were playing against Valley. Totten lined up in what was essentially a like a 9-2... Green realized it was no safety or lb playing deeper than 5 yards, audibled to double slants and threw a touchdown pass. I am not talking about on the goal line or even in the redzone. We were like on the 35.
