HBCU Dance Teams - Best Performances

In the late 1960s and early 1970s', HBCU Majorettes put down their batons to "dance". This was the beginning of HBCU Dance Teams. Alcorn Golden Girls were established in 1968, Fabulous Dancing Dolls in 1969 and the Prancing J-Settes in 1971. The Fabulous Dancing Dolls are one of a few HBCU Dance teams whose main focus is entertaining the fans. The majority of HBCU Dance teams' field routines consist of the same elements from week to week, Ballerina spins, Gazelle jumps, stunting and rolling/tumbling around on the ground, the fans have been forgotten. Choreography and dance are missing elements in most HBCU Dance team's field routines. Yes, you should evolve with the times, but tradition, which is "dance", should NOT be lost. Today's HBCU Dance Team's main focus is the stands. The stand routines are now the main focus and priority for the majority of HBCU Dance teams.

Thank you, Fabulous Dancing Dolls, for putting the fans first and keeping classiness and the element of "dance" alive in the 21st century.

This is a memorable performance! As a Tiger Fan,

I usually don’t see anything about Southern that I like. However, this routine and the execution was outta sight! Way to go Dolls!
