Did you guys know that the New Orleans Saints have the only all-black offensive line in the NFL and may possibly be the only franchise in NFL history that can make that claim? Their linemen are:
RT Jamal Brown
RG Jermane Mayberry
C LeCharles Bentley
LG Kendyl Jacox
LT Wayne Gandy
Why is this such an oddity? It's not because there is a lack of black offensive linemen in the NFL but rather the fact that there aren't many black centers in the NFL. Sound familiar? Yep. Not too long ago, the big issue was the lack of black quarterbacks in the league. The lack of black centers never entered the picture. That is, until now. Check out this article:
