  • "They" are always spitting sparks - you have to watch out as you're walking so you don't get burned.
  • We're big on saving money, so it's darker than normal in certain areas as we've removed light bulbs.
  • Shoes: Leather uppers/rubber soles in most areas.
  • Cafeteria food sucks (except for the deli - love the steak wraps,) but I eat there most days.
  • We love to have early morning meeting that require you to get there an hour & 15 minutes early and last 10 minutes.
  • The sinks in some restrooms is a big silver half-moon w/a mushroom type spigot that has 5 spouts (of water.) Five people can wash their hands simultaneously.

Sounds like a wonderful work environment! Especially when it's time to watch The Price Is Right!

  • Office suite set up like a maze.
  • Greenish carpet and light green walls and cubicles
  • Office spaces with views to airfields/runways
  • Sounds of planes taking off (leaving you to wish you were on one of them)
  • Music and PSAs playing in bathrooms
  • Overpriced restaurants and high-end shops (like Brooks Brothers, etc.) within short walking distance. If you're up for the walk, 200 restaurants and stores to choose from-- all on worksite property.
  • Free parking among 30,000 parking spaces.
  • The ABSOLUTE BEST place to sit and people watch! As many as 250,000 from every walk of life pass through daily. There's no telling who you might see. Common to spot celebrities (esp. ATL residents) like Andre3000, Musiq, Usher, Bonecrusher on any given day. And nobody bothers them, or nobody has recognized them just yet. Maybe because there's no entourage to draw attention.
  • If you stick around past 5 p.m., there's live entertainment almost every night.

Let's see....

  • I work in Corinth, Mississippi.. not the hypest place on Earth, but I work with good people.
  • Everyone has on Steel Toe shoes, safety glasses, and earplugs. Management employees wear button-down white shirts with the company logo on it.
  • Office is located in an enclosed office space in the middle of the shop floor.
  • I sit in a large conference-style cube with 3 other guys. We all get along well.
  • Office colors are dull and grim.
  • Cafeteria food is nothing to jump up and down about. It is brought in by a local restaurant each day and served in our Break Room. Most times, the food is super rich and greasy. I’ve seen us have Fried Bolonga Sandwiches on the menu, so I either bring my own or leave. Hands down, the best thing on the cafeteria menu is the Bread Pudding

Uhh, you left off the Keystone Light MD.

Since I was drinking and typing at the same time, I completely forgot about the Lone Star. Last week when I cut the grass, I put one of these Lone Stars in the freezer and when I finished it tasted like a steak. I mean I put a six pack in the freezer

Fried bologna? Safety glasses are required out of the Admin area. I have prescription safety glasses & FINALLY got my new pair on yesterday after waiting 5 weeks. Since I can't see, I put my safety glasses over my regular glasses - looked like a straight up alien!

I don't see how u do it. :smh: My hats off to all educators.

Let's see, my work environment-

  • a non-profit major arts center in Midtown Atlanta; very laid back and friendly environment; you can tell that folks want to be here and enjoy their jobs.
  • I work in a large cubicle that allows me to have two, even four workstations setup, so I have plenty of room to work.
  • The cubes are located in a suite with 5 offices and 8 cubes. We are close enough to communicate with one another, but far enough from one another to work alone. Either way, we get along great. :)
  • Although the campus buildings are all white, the walls in our building are vibrant colors of orange, blue, yellow, green, red, and purple. Looks like an 6 pack of Crayolas.
  • We get perks from time to time (complimentary tickets to theatre shows)
  • On a bright sunny day, you might catch Baton Bob marching down Peachtree Street, although I haven't seen him in a while.
