Colorado operating in $27 million deficit

Just put them young white gals in the room with some old big money donors and a few bottles of liquor. Those pockets will start to empty in less than 30 minutes

Why do we care about Colorado's problems?

hell If I know, cause I surely DO NOT! Love ya, Deion,
but MY focus is on the ALBANY STATE GOLDEN RAMS this weekend.

Football Preview: NCAA Division II Super Region II Quarterfinal
Albany State (12-1) vs. Newberry College (11-1)

Fresh off a gritty 14–12 victory over Benedict in the Super Region II Second Round, the Golden Rams are preparing for one of the biggest games in program history. With the win, Albany State advanced to the NCAA DII Quarterfinals for just the third time ever and earned its 12th win of the season, the most in school history.

This week, ASU remains at home to host Newberry College, a program they have faced only once before. Their lone meeting occurred in the 2006 NCAA playoffs, where
Newberry edged out Albany State 34–28 in a tight contest. Nearly two decades later, the Golden Rams have the opportunity to rewrite that history on their home turf.

Newberry enters the matchup after a dramatic comeback win over West Florida, proving they are a resilient and well-coached playoff opponent. The Wolves' balanced offense and disciplined defensive front will challenge an Albany State team that has thrived this season through physicality, ball control, and elite defensive play.

For ASU, the formula remains clear: efficient quarterback play, strong rushing production, and a defense that has consistently shown the ability to generate stops in critical moments. With home-field advantage and championship-level momentum, the Golden Rams will look to punch their ticket to the national semifinals.

  • Saturday, Dec. 6 – vs Newberry College, 1:00 PM (Albany, Ga., ASU Coliseum)

The crazy thing is, if they are that much in debt and they are making more money than they have in the history of their program, what were they doing before Coach Prime arrived? Also, is there a cost of having Coach Prime? Meaning, do they have to spend more just to run that operation just because he is there? Does it balance out?

I believe they were not in the high amount of debt they are in now before Coach (but more than likely still in debt or just breaking even). What is hurting them is the revenue sharing, Coaches salaries, and more than likely some other expenses within football and outside.

Even though there has been an increase in revenue generation, it not out pacing expenses. It would not surprise me if they are going to look at cutting some sports, but even with that they are going to need to do some more things. I expect with the hire of the new OC, this is giving Coach Sanders a path way to leave and save the school some money (without the school having to pay off the remainder of his contract). I think if they have a winning season next year, then Coach Sanders will resign and the new OC will take over as the coach.
