Stevie Wonder Gets Sued

Wonder is being sued by a former girlfriend in Los Angeles for $30 million, claiming that he gave her a sexually transmitted disease. Angela McAfee alleges in a palimony lawsuit filed last week in Superior Court that Wonder concealed that he had genital herpes -- a contagious venereal disease -- and gave it to her through sexual contact. McAfee discovered that she had contracted genital herpes in October 2000. McAfee claims that the legendary singer pursued her for more than ten years and he persuaded her to quit working as a wardrobe consultant in August 1996 and move into his estate. The lawsuit also claims that the couple verbally agreed five years ago that he would be the sole income earner and she would remain at home. They lived together until February when Wonder allegedly breached the agreement. Wonder's camp says the suit has no merit. We'll keep you posted.

The incubation period for herpes is around 2 weeks. If she moved in in1996, what took her sooooo loooong to get a diagnosis? There are usually signs--- painful ulcers, discharge (usually suspected as a yeast infection) that doesnt clear up.

Do you think Stevie got it in 2000 or did the money make her overlook the symptoms and her suspicions for 4 years?
