Big 10 in discussions about a $2 billion private equity deal

This is interesting.

I'm willing to bet Ohio and Michigan are leveraging their positions to get a better deal. If the amount doesn't increase then length of the deal will have to be cut, 2046 is too far out. I think they should reject the deal and ask for more $$$ over a shorter time span which is probably on the table now.

I can't help but wonder how far away is the SWAC from being approached about an equity deal.

Depends on how well SWACTV does in a few years.

I'd guesstimate 3-5 years.

The metrics say we're a top 10 conference football wise (FBS and FCS combined)

The interesting caveats are:

* if the FCS as a whole signs with a private equity form, will the SWAC and MEAC get a cut

* should the SWAC just focus on their own deal when that time comes
