2025 FBS College Football Playoff Field & Bowl Opt Outs

Bama being the only team to lose in a conference championship game and not drop in the poll is a JOKE.
Maybe they got in on strength of schedule. Hell, if I know.

I thought the college playoffs expanding to 12 teams were supposed to eliminate situations like this. Hell, I think expanding to 12 teams has only made it worse.

Conference realignment made the CFP convoluted along with voters kowtowing to the SEC.

Bama lost the last two games they played against a ranked team and it didn't hurt them because everyone kisses the SEC ass.

The college football playoffs will eventually go to 16 teams with all the conference champs getting in and 6 at-large bids.

Teams 17 and 18 will complain but will be forgotten by the next day because it happens with March Madness every year with the last 4 left out. 1-2 will have legitimate gripes but it will be forgotten by the next day.

Notre Dame has a legitimate gripe getting snubbed for 3 loss Alabama (especially after how Georgia dominated them in Atlanta) but at the end of the day, it will be forgotten

We will go...we are 6-5!

This could actually become a thing as I've seen some HBCU outlets suggest HBCU teams get those bowl invites if these 5-7:FBS teams refuse them

Would love to see 10 win ASU or JSU get a look at these lower tier bowl games since they're neutral site games (ASU in the Birmingham Bowl makes perfect sense)
