2024 Presidential Election

Civil rights icon endorses Kamala Harris "who follows in our footsteps"
Story by Jennifer Earl

Myrlie Evers, one of the last living icons of the Civil Rights era, announced on "CBS Mornings" that she's endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris for president because she says "the fight for justice is far from over."

In a short statement that aired Thursday – two days after Harris met former President Donald Trump face-to-face for the first time for ABC News' presidential debate – Evers explained why she decided to speak out in the 2024 presidential election.

Martha Stewart Just Quietly Made a Rare Presidential Endorsement

Martha Stewart has finally weighed in on the 2024 election and endorsed a candidate.

During the 2024 Retail Influencer CEO Forum on Tuesday, Stewart shared that she would definitely be tuning in to the evening’s debate between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump: “Oh, you bet.” But for the first time this go-round, she also said who she’s voting for: “Kamala,” she said, with an emphasis on its correct pronunciation.

Stewart supports Harris because she wants a president “who doesn’t hate New York” and “doesn’t hate democracy,” she explained during an on-stage conversation with the Daily Beast’s Chief Creative and Content Officer Joanna Coles.

- Look, the republicans like the Cheney's are playing long ball, they and some other repubs are willing to vote and give the Presidency to the Dem's for 2024, this gets rid of trump/maga's,,,, this gives the repubs time to find a better candidate for 2028, when they will run and denounce President Harris, even when they support her in 2024,,,, it's all about the future for the repub party to survive, using the Democrats to get rid of trump/magas.

Kamala Harris tells Oprah Winfrey that if someone breaks into her house ‘they’re getting shot’: ‘Probably shouldn’t have said that’

Kamala Harris yet again brought up her Second Amendment credentials during a live event with Oprah Winfrey on Thursday night in Farmington Hills, Michigan.

During a discussion about gun violence, Winfrey brought up the fact that Harris revealed herself to be a gun owner during the debate against former President Donald Trump on September 10.

“I did not know that,” Winfrey said to laughter from the in-studio audience at the event entitled “Unite for America.”

“If somebody breaks into my house they’re getting shot,” Harris said, laughing, and added: “I probably should not have said that... my staff will deal with that later.”

The Trump War Room account on X attempted to use the moment to mock the vice president by tweeting the video clip.

Neera Tanden, the director of the Domestic Policy Council since last year, sarcastically responded, “Dear Trump War Room. You really got her here. Please, please don’t make an ad of this video of her and air it in the swing states, particularly rural and exurban areas. It would be really so terrible if you did that.”

Republicans usually play chess when it comes to campaigning. In this case they have to get rid of (at least) some MAGA candidates and wait longer (2028) to get what they want.

For example, quite a few tea party candidates took hits in 2014. Many of their losses happened in primaries.

There are still tea party politicians, but they are not as many as before or could be now.

They don't have to denounce her. I think everyone understands WHY they are endorsing her over Trump. They see that long term damage.

Remember Tim Scott won't be around. He has already said he's done after his term.
Desantis can not run for governor of Florida again-so he's gone.
MTG's is up for reelection

And guess who just said he won't run in 2028-TRUMP

Yes, He will be 82yo in 2028,.
Especially if a President Harris does well. It will make it harder for him and hopefully the media will give him the old man treatment, like they should be doing now, the way they did with Biden.
The media is not going to turn on Trump. They decided back in 2015 he is good for their bottom line. If his health holds up, at 82 he'll be saying just as much or even crazier shyt than he currently does. They can't get enough of him, he is the gift that keeps on giving. Cats and dogs make the front page and breaking news when he speaks.

Trump-supported activist put on leave from employer after gay porn reports

A school-privatization activist and frequent Fox News guest whose work has been praised by former President Donald Trump was placed on leave by his conservative nonprofit employer after reports that he had appeared in gay pornography videos surfaced.

Corey DeAngelis has been a senior fellow at the American Federation for Children, a conservative education nonprofit group founded by former Education Secretary Betsy DeVos, since 2021 (DeVos’ website says she is the former chair of the organization, and the organization’s site does not mention her as being currently involved). Asked about DeAngelis and the adult film reports, Rebekah Bydlak, a spokesperson for the organization, said, “We have placed the employee on leave as we look into this matter further.” Bydlak declined to comment further.

A person who resembles DeAngelis and performs under the name “Seth Rose” appears in at least three gay adult films on the pornography site GayHoopla dating to 2014. In the videos, “Seth Rose” does not have sexual contact with other performers; rather, he appears in scenes masturbating solo or alongside other men. The existence of the videos was first reported last week by the blog Str8 Up Gay Porn, which shares gay porn and articles about sex.

Twenty-second Amendment to the United States Constitution

The Twenty-second Amendment to the United States Constitution limits the number of times a person can be elected to the office of President of the United States to two terms, and sets additional eligibility conditions for presidents who succeed to the unexpired terms of their predecessors. Congress approved the Twenty-second Amendment on March 21, 1947, and submitted it to the state legislatures for ratification.

Trump can't run again if he wins anyway, Why is the media not talking about this?

Tpop33, you asked; Trump can't run again if he wins anyway, Why is the media not talking about this?" See LAW DAWG's above post:

Giant nude statue of Donald Trump arrives in Phoenix. Its origins are murky :D:D:D

A towering nude statue depicting former President Donald Trump appeared in central Phoenix on Thursday.

The mysterious traveling figure first surfaced in Las Vegas earlier this week. It is titled “Crooked and Obscene,” according to a news release from the people taking credit for its creation.

“The title reflects the controversial aspects attributed to both the figure represented and the nature of the installation itself,” the release reads. “By unveiling a nude marionette of Donald Trump in an unexpected setting, the project aims to provoke thought and encourage open conversation about the complexities of political power and leadership.”

It was unclear who exactly was behind the project.

Individuals with the project refused to identify themselves on Thursday near the exhibit location off Washington Street and 24th Street. The area immediately surrounding it was private property and not open to the public.

Representatives of businesses in the area, which include a cannabis dispensary, said they had nothing to do with the statue.

They did rise, but they have risen even faster under Joe Biden. And the US wage gap for Black and white men grew under Donald Trump.

In recent days, US Democrats have fretted about polls showing soft support for Vice President Kamala Harris among Black voters, and especially among Black men — a development that some Democrats fear could imperil Harris’s chances to win in November.

On October 14, Harris released an “Opportunity Agenda for Black Men” that her campaign hoped would win more support.

US Congressman Byron Donalds, an ally of former President Donald Trump, said there’s a reason members of this core Democratic group should vote for Trump instead.

“The big stat — and this happened during the first Trump administration, nobody likes to talk about it: Wages adjusted for inflation were massively up under Donald Trump for Black men, for Black families, [and] for all Americans,” Donalds said on October 13 on the CNN programme State of the Union. “The wage gap that Democrats love to lecture about — the wage gap in 2019 was actually shrinking under Donald Trump’s administration, his economic policies, his energy policies, and his regulatory policies.”

Wages for Black Americans and Black men did rise under Trump, but Donalds ignored that they rose three times faster under Trump’s successor, President Joe Biden, even after adjusting for a period of 40-year-high inflation on Biden’s watch. Rather than narrowing under Trump, the Black-white wage gap widened.
