All schools in the Pioneer League/Conference are non-scholarship, but that isn't stopping other FCS schools from scheduling them. They still get wins against FCS schools. According to Chat GPT, the Pioneer Conference had wins over Mercer, Furman, Wagner and Robert Morris last year.I think they're non-scholarship though

Other than money, which has already been alluded to, there are other noticeable differences:
1. The Ivy League, conference wide, adheres to a 10 week schedule. No Ivy school has played a football game yet. The conference teams officially begin their season this week by playing their first game.
The Pioneer League plays a full FCS schedule, including week zero.
2. The Ivy League is an eight member regional conference in northeast America.
The Pioneer League, geographically, is a national conference. Its eleven football member schools are in multiple regions ( West Coast, Midwest, South & Northeast).
3. It's well known the Ivy's are all private, but the Pioneer does have one public school member (Moorehead State).
4. On occasion, an Ivy League school will schedule two Pioneer League schools for non-conference match-ups to make up their ten game schedule.
The Pioneer League schools don't appear to have a record of doing the same in reverse.
5. Over the last five years, the Ivy League has a combined record of 83-37 against non-conference FCS opponents.
The record keeping for the Pioneer League is not good, but the best estimate is the conference has won 18 to 22 with 75 losses, over the same time period, against non-conference FCS opponents.

Wow, the two schools are just a thirty to forty minute drive apart. They would make an excellent permanent week zero opponent for you all. The match-up is budget friendly, travel friendly and a good tune-up game to begin the season with.

The stadium is approximately 15 minutes from both schools
And this was the question I brought up. These Pioneer schools don't have Ivy league type endowments in the tens billions of course .
I'm sure they also give economic based & academic aid as well in the Pioneer league?
