[Prairie State Pigskin] According to a program spokesman, Chicago State has not started spring practice, and no date has been set to do so. The Cougars are scheduled to open their 10-game fall schedule Aug. 29 at Seat Geek Stadium in Bridgeview against Roosevelt University.
 



They bout to mess around and have a bunch of schools scrambling to find a game to fill that void. I know A&T and NSU gonna be pissed since they gave up their game to help CSU out with scheduling.

Based on that it doesn't make sense to have spring practice, not enough bodies.

Chicago State fast tracked the process. I think they conducted a feasibility study in 2021 or 2022, announced the formation of the program late 2024-25 and hired the head coach about a year ago. Usually most programs don't play a full schedule until a couple yrs after they hire a staff and have players on campus
