Shedeur Sanders' success as a freshman quarterback has been well documented. On Monday he was named SWAC newcomer of the week for the second time in a row.

He's tied for 10th amongst FCS quarterbacks in passing touchdowns with 20 against three interceptions. He's completed 68% of passes and his 2,107 passing yards ranks second in the SWAC.

Jackson State (7-1, 5-0 SWAC) plays Texas Southern at Mississippi Veterans Memorial Stadium on Saturday (1 p.m., JSU Sports Network) and the visiting Tigers (3-5, 2-3) have a standout freshman quarterback of their own. Andrew Body, who is fifth in the SWAC in passing yards with 1,476 on 101-for-159 passing.

Where Valley lacked an actual dual threat QB that knew when to run when the pocket collapsed, TxSU has that with Body have over 400 yards rushing for the season. And he can actually throw. He's really gonna be good in a couple of years

I'm tempted to pick that upset

who'll most likely stay in the SWAC - lol

Seriously...why was txso his only d1 offer? His hs resume should have drawn p5 interest.

that profile killed recruiting early on but he got better and grew. But by then the pandemic hit and no colleges could recruit so it was about film study

Body has done more with less than Shadeur. That doesn't take away from Shadeur. Body is from far South Texas near Corpus Christi that's why he wasn't so heralded out of high school.he also has I think 2nd all time passing in Texas. Did Shadeur have Texas records? Shader didn't play public high school ball in Texas anyway.
Strengths: Shadeur is an amazing coachable athlete. I wouldn't consider him a dual threat but he is a wonderful college qb in a very short time and is mobile enough. He's a Warren Moon with a faster step.
Body is a more accurate DeShawn Watson style qb. He will beat you and add to the running game. He's also a true freshman with a cool calmness under pressure. If he had an oline and an OC who had immediately noticed his talent and aggressively wanted to score, his team would have a winning record.

That's the qb synopsis for me. We will see if McKinney has scouted jsu correctly.

Sir these are blowouts
40- 17 pv
44- 27 asu
34-20 gsu (a gsu team that can't score if they started every drive in the endzone lol)
A loss is a loss and every Saturday is a new week. Just because there was a loss or win against another team doesn't mean a thing for the following Saturday.

It means y'all getting y'all arse kicked 😆. End of story lol
We from time to time have a hard time stopping nose bleeds bruh...We still got a long way to go and have 58 freshman on the roster. And they ain't freshman like Sanders and Body.

We have over 40 freshmen on the roster so our team is just as young. We are actually starting 9 freshmen (that has gone unnoticed) at QB-1, Safety-1, CB-1, DL-1, OL-1, WR-2, LS-1, and Punter-1.
