In courting FBS bowl games, Deion Sanders forgot the Celebration Bowl exists

This is what happens when thinking that something, albeit well meaning, comes off very wrong (meaning courting the FBS bowl system) and disrespectful to the Celebration Bowl

If he wants to build up HBCUs, I'm sure his name could build up another HBCU Bowl game instead of running to the Popeye's Bowl to play in front of 2500 people (although Jamaica is not a bad spot in December lol)

I say gott dayam!!!!! I'm not accustomed to seeing an alum of a school constantly embellishing in the negative slant towards its own school when not one whistle has blown to either prove or disprove one's capabilities.

I would find it hard to believe that coach Prime hasn't been educated on the SWAC's end-game w/ the CB tie-in. I would hope in his mind he is attempting to start a great conversation to get potential investors to look at the feasibility of including a value-driven d-1 fcs level school in their valued d-1 fbs bowl structure.

You might have a point if Kendrick were actually speaking ill of the school. But this is about the actions of Deion Sanders, not Jackson State...eventhough the school was foolish enough to retweet Deion's tweet.

It’s sad at this point. I was actually waiting on this article. Kendrick seems to be on top of anything Coach says or does. It’s quite obvious he has some sort of slight against JSU and if Coach Prime clip his toe nails wrong, you can bet there will be an article about it LMAO.

With former SWAC & MEAC coaches surrounding him and an AD that’s knows full well about the CB, I don’t see how one could assume such assery lol. Coach is thinking and looking at a bigger picture but obviously some don’t get that picture.

Seems like coach Prime has taken the pro-active "why not" approach rather than the pessimistic approach of "we can't," that stymied the (financial and notoriety) growth of the SWAC over the last 40-45 years.

Seems like coach Prime is being pro-active vs being negatively reactive. Has any other d-1 fcs school and/or its staff sent a direct inquiry to d-1 fbs bowl committees asking "why not us?"

NCAA By-Laws?

NCAA By-Laws?

What by-laws? The SWAC conference members were approved to participate in a post-season bowl game. Does the by-laws state ALL member cannot participate or simply just one can participate (d-1 fcs level)? B1G, big xii, pac12, et al P5ers send multiples to participate in bowl games so why not the SWAC?

Where's Ashley Robinson? This is something I think he needs to clarify and should be versed to speak on.

Perhaps Kendricks’ primary role here is to be the boards Antagonist... or nevermind...lol... This is his and Ken's way of promoting dialog with one of the largest groups on here! Smart move... driving trafiic and content!
