That Grambling number must be tickets sold. There was no where near that number in the stands. The home side was not full and the visitors side was damn near empty.
Not sure where your vantage point was...but the home side was "extremely" packed.....the visitor side was a little sparse....there were also lots of people up on the hill....I can post a video showing the home side during halftime if you'd like to see itThat Grambling number must be tickets sold. On the visitors side north 45. I had a very good view of the home side. If stadium capacity is less than 20,000 and the home field side was not packed and the visitors side was not nearly as full as the home field side that attendance number is off.Not sure where your vantage point was...but the home side was "extremely" packed.....the visitor side was a little sparse....there were also lots of people up on the hill....I can post a video showing the home side during halftime if you'd like to see it

I meant less than 20,000....my bad.That stadium has a capacity of 19600
SU has to battle with LSU being in the same city. SU vs PV was hurt by LSU’s homecoming. SU home schedule sucked this season. SU attendance will be great next season as long as no Hurricanes ruin a game or two like the year before.I'm noticing a disturbing trend in the SWAC ... only the football classics seem to be holding steady attendance wise. Even SU is "struggling" with home attendance if it's not the Boombox Classic or Homecoming. And by struggling I mean the numbers are not what they used to be ... but still strong for the FCS.
I'm still praying one day our fanbase will rival SU and JSU but I just realize our campus culture is different which likely plays into it. SU and JSU feels like a big family all the time on campus because they are in a smaller city and state with less degrees of separation ... TSU feel familyish at times but to a lesser extent, we still have that big city "who are you" mentality. on campus. And I don't think Texas people (especially Houston & Dallas) are as friendly as people in Louisiana and Mississippi so it always feels like for me SU and JSU have more fun at their events which is why they come out in larger numbers than us.
THE FAMOUS SU GO TO LINE !!!! Well where was LSU located when SU had good numbers. lol. I thought SU said they have the best fan base in all of HBCU. But how if another school is able to effect your home attendance. Sounds a bit contradicting to me. I see some schools use the words BEST a bit lose and without thinking lol.SU has to battle with LSU being in the same city. SU vs PV was hurt by LSU’s homecoming. SU home schedule sucked this season. Back then we all averaged over 20k and led in attendance some years. Irrelevant point in 2019Ole Miss, Miss St, USM, and JSU each played games in Jackson up until some time in the 90s and JSU was still able to lead IAA (at the time) in attendance. Alcorn and Valley had that 60k+ game during that time.

So southern fans put LSU first? I don’t want to hear another peep from y’all about the Bamas and their tide/war eagle love then.
The new generation is totally different . They chase homecomings. We have our base but the casual BR folks are going where the biggest party is now a days. SU finished #4 in attendence last season.THE FAMOUS SU GO TO LINE !!!! Well where was LSU located when SU had good numbers. lol. I thought SU said they have the best fan base in all of HBCU. I said the PV game, because it was LSU’s homecoming. You missed the point. Your fellow jag blamed LSU for SU's attendance. I'm not comparing JSUs and SUs attendance numbers. You actually proved my point as well since SU was able to have good attendance numbers in lieu of LSU being nearby.
This post says it all ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^. Goodness. Edna View, w/ our little bitty fanbase, we'd better not start trying to blame tamu-b/cs for our dwindling #s. smh
