I think, it was a mixture of both. Because, Steve McNair was the top dog for college, in my opinion. But, it's Jay Walker, we are talking about....

Aeneas walked on his junior year, I believe.

But if you're going simply off of college accomplishments, you can make an argument for including Lenard Tillery and Robert Mathis.

You are right. However, l believe James Harris was the Best of the Best. He played at a time when he was egregiously limited by his skin color. A pure pocket quarterback. Harris and that damn Wing T were incomparable in their time.

That could be true! McNair was great along with Williams. You could flip flop them and I would be happy. Both were accomplished and great SWAC QB's!

As far as James Harris concern, he is not talked about a lot, but he was Williams before Williams and could really throw it!

But I am not mad because with all of the legends the SWAC has had, a top five is difficult to pick.

Micheal Hayes, Scotty Anderson, Jason Hatcher, Micheal Straham, Ashley Ambrose, Eddie Robinson (L.B. from Alabama State). Hell, I go on for all the great players in The SWAC.

It seems like he only used their NFL accomplishments to come up with that list in that order.
