Mississippi Valley State vs Arkansas-Pine Bluff: Game Updates - 6:00pm CT

Congratulations MVSU! Your QB is simply AMAZING and he has some good receivers! And not a bad job at all on defense!
Best wishes going forward this season!

Can Valley go on a streak under Rick? AAMU-VUL-JSU-sTu are up next. For the first time in years, winning all of those games aren't impossible.

Betts made his name known today. The kid is what Valley has been missing for a long time. Props to Valley's offensive line coach for giving them boys some life.

Totally agree! This was some good recruiting by the coaching staff! The team was hyped up and very happy when the lights went out on the scoreboard! After what I saw tonight, they're definitely capable of winning out, but if they don't, they sure as h3ll will leave an impression!

UAPB doesn't sleep on ANYONE and that includes Valley. We've been struggling with them now for the past 3-4 years, and have always struggled with their defense. This undoubtedly was the best Valley team I've seen since the late 90's.

For the 1st time this year Betts put everything together and played like most expected him to play once he signed with us. Fowler is more accurate but his arm is not as strong as Betts and he is not as mobile (not a stiff but not fast). That mobility is what opened up the running game tonight

He still hasn't peaked yet because he missed 3 wide open TD passes. Chalk that up to being a true freshman.

Now we gotta deal with another tough road game against AAMU

As I watched that child last night, I was just intrigued by his mobility. Second to
a WR, I love a QB who isn't afraid to use his legs, and that child ran over us last night! And he was EXCEPTIONAL at reading his offense, ESPECIALLY when he was under pressure! Because of his size, and his speed, and his jersey #, I kept calling him "Baby Vick"! The good news is he's a true fresan QB, and he'll have 3 more years to strengthen & develop his existing talent. The bad news is he's a true freshman QB which means he'll have 3 more years to strengthen & develop his existing talent! If he sticks with Comegy &
Valley, he will be a force to reckon with.

You would've been very proud 662! I know I was and he totally kilt my boys!

I love you blue, but you might wanna not include my boys in your predictions. They are my heart, but I have some major "trust" issues with them right now! They're too unpredictable and uncontrollably inconsistent, which is why I have to pick against them.:(

But this is YOUR baby. Raise it the way YOU see fit.

I was at the game so I saw it first hand. In high school he was known as Baby Cam because of his style of play. I think he has caught up to D1 speed after a slow start. The early bye week also helped making it easier to transition to the two frosh QBs. We'll see if their good play against a solid AAMU team on the road. It just feels good to not be out of contention going into HC lol

UAPB is gonna give teams fits with that read option and won't be an easy win for anyone. #21 was
getting good runs most of the night
