In all seriousness. She is right. I will rock with Lebron over Curry any day simply off the fact that I feel he was dealt a bad hand in life and succeeded against all odds and haters. Curry didn't have to face what Lebron or Durrant faced. Not even Kobe faced that side of life. When Lebron won the finals MVP and made the statement "I'm not even supposed to be here given the odds," that told full story of his life. Furthermore, when Durrant told the world that his mother was the real MVP that told a story.
Curry is a baller bar none. One of the top if you ask me. A future hall of famer. Yet, he is getting stronger praise because of skin tone whether people want to admit it or not and his "non hood" or should I say privileged upbringing. Let's say for argument's sake that he was a light skinned guy like Doug Christie but with baller skills. He would not be receiving praise.

Steph Curry is the ideal face that the league has wanted. Clean-cut, well-spoken non-threatening looking family man who is really good at basketball. He does not have any tattoos, wild hair, and dresses modestly compared to his peers.
Curry is opposite of the previous era when the league was battling an image issue, where many bemoaned that players had tattoos, were wearing cornrows, and the embodiment of all things late 90s to early 2000s hip hop to the point where David Stern had to implement a dress code.
Curry is the culmination of the work the league had done to regain crossover appeal after Jordan stopped playing.

If that's isn't the biggest batch of BS, then I don't know what it. The league hasn't done Jack for Curry, other than just get on board for the ride. It's kinda embarrassing that we are actually having this discussion.
We live in a society where people marvel winners. Period. But when those winners have some flash about them, then it goes to a whole new level. Curry's ascension has NOTHING to do with his skin color. It is all about his game...period. It's not just that he can shoot 3-pointers with consistency, but its his ability to shoot 3s with consistency from damn near half-court whenever he wants.
Steph Curry could be butt-ugly and would still get praise for his game if that were the case. There are only a few players who can be credited for literally changing the game of basketball as we know it. Steph Curry is one of those people.
LeBron has tattoos every where, is 100 shades darker than Curry, and from what I can tell, isn't necessarily noted for being the Denzel Washington of basketball, but I still see those KIA commercials everyday.
