Lakers have some good talent but I wonder who will step up and be a leader next season for them once Kobe is gone.

Sounds like they still think that. Obviously this incident don't help matters. But they will be cleaning house after the season. So some of those players will be gone. Would not shock me to see them HAVE to move Nick Young because of this. They are not getting rid of Russell. Even Clarkson name has been floated out there as a possible trade bait. Depending on what Jeannie Buss does with her brother and front office after the season ends. This could be a new look Laker team next Fall. There is talk out here that she may let her brother stick around one more season until her man Phil can opt out of his contract in a year in NY. So who knows.

It was likely to be a lot of turnover from the Lakers anyway. They signed most of their free agents to one-year deals to be in a position to make a major push (or at least attempt) in free agency the next two seasons. Nick Young (who has been horrid) was going to be gone before this. I'm not sure why they'd want Phil from a basketball perspective. Other than lucking into Porzingis, his GM tenure has been terrible.
