The Daily Beast revisited this incident involving Manning right before the Super Bowl.

Over the last year, we've witnessed Dre, Cosby and Manning's past alleged transgressions with women resurface after they were seemingly long forgotten.

It seems if we like someone, or can't grasp the prospect they could commit such acts because of their charity work or good natured personas, they get defended or allegations against them are soft-pedaled in the press and by the public.

The amount of caping for Peyton Manning on ESPN was real. It was sickening. That's why I was surprised they brought it back up this morning since they did such a great job of minimizing it Super bowl week

If you think about it look at al jazeer America. After they dropped that HGH story on Manning they ended up going out of business. That says a lot. There are more influential forces at work here and I'm talking Republican congress type stuff.

This is why I laugh at the old advice that we have to "work 10x's harder than whites" just to get ahead and/or be on equal footing with whites. We've bought into this bullshit idea that WE have to exhaust ourselves to get around the boundaries of white supremacy.

Here we have proof of a white, well-heeled family using a public entity to ruin a black man's life by using him as live bait reel in more privilege. Not in 1920. Not in 1950. In 1996.

I hope I live long enough to see these devil's day of reckoning. And when it comes, I hope its gruesome and inhumane on them.
 
Yet how many black athletes are dying to get to UT? Remember the basketball player who killed the other player at Baylor (I apologize for not remembering names) and the coach tried to cover it up? This happened at a Baptist school. If you look at Baylor's team you'd think nothing like that ever happened.
 



The media is full of B.S., including ESPN. They knew about this long before the Super Bowl and said nothing. Let it have been a Black player, and it would've been plastered all over the screen that same night.
Look at Johnny Manziel and how many times he's going to get away with beating up and assaulting his girlfriend, yet no suspensions and no arrest even when there's clear evidence.
Just blatant hypocrisy.

Whitlock is the Stacy dash of sports writers. if you look at any of his work and put Dash face on it you couldn't tell the difference.

Also UT hold Manning to such a damn high and mighty level one would forget that it was Tee Martin that got UT over the hump the year after Manning and won the national championship. Hell it's almost like they don't wanna claim that one because it wasn't their beloved Manning.

Judging by the latest Title XI lawsuit filed against the university, it appears Manning hasn't been the only male athlete that the school has held in high regard.
