(Texas) UIL releases updated districts for next two seasons


I guess all my CyFair schools will get broken up on the next re-alignment when we open our 12th school. They put our new school in 5A and kept the rest of the 10 schools in 1 district by together.
 



New high school opens in Alvin ISD and will pull a lot of Manvel's future talent. Their top feeder programs are now zoned to Shadow Creek High school.
 
They broke up the old 6-6A schools too. The Plano and Lewisville schools are in two different districts now.

I'm tickled over the district re-alignments. The big-boy club became smaller and even politics couldn't prevent the actuality of what's about to occur.

There are 2 more 6A HSs opening fall 2017 so this will be interesting how the HS attendance lines are drawn shortly. Man, all of my desires/dreams for competition are coming true this fall. :) New athletic venues @ PVAMU; PVAMU will knock txam upside the head on the gridiron (FINALLY!!!); and the former HS will knock such-and-such 'nem upside the head in all sports :D .

Since we live in Pearland my wife wants our 3 year Olds to go to Manvel if we don't send them to St. Pius (Catholic). I told her to get serious that they'll build another 4-5 high schools in Pearland/Alvin before "Them LeBlanc Boys" high school is even built.

I am curious but why St. Pius? I know its private affiliations and all that.

LOL.. What school is that? What two High schools?
 
Now that Denton ISD is getting a 4th HS (Braswell High School), Denton Ryan is moving down to 5A. That means Denton HS, Ryan, and Braswell will all be in the same district. Denton Guyer remains the the only Denton high school in 6A. And they moved to District 6-6A to compete with Allen and the rest of the Plano schools.

Can you tell my child is headed to Shadow Creek next school year? LOL

lord, my old high school is in the same district with manvel and shadow creek......might as well shut it down...what in the hell? not even fair....

I graduated from North Forest High back when it was Smiley and I wish that we were in the district that they are in now back then. They don't even have to leave the city of Houston. When I first got there back in 96 we were in a district with schools from Pasadena and Pearland.

I always wanted to play in the hisd district as their stadium was closer to our school than ours....plus we would have had a reason to practice for the band as the other school took it serious
 
i think those "folks" fought to get it changed to Hightower...said Ridge was beneath them.....folks bought thinking they would get manvel but didnt research as the home prices was lower for that reason and its damn near by WIllowridge than Pearland
