Cancel SWAC Championship Game

This is just a thought, while watching the SWAC Championship game I was thinking should they cancel the SWAC title game in Houston and make it a Championship game on one of the higher seed school campus. Considering we have a Bowl game 2 weeks after that would possibly maximize the attendance numbers for that game. I know Conference USA and American Conference does it...

The SWAC Championship game in Houston has been a success but will our fans do well traveling to Houston and Atlanta...

your thoughts?

Nahhhhhhhhh......let it ride

Maybe we should play it at the local high schools. That way the stands are guaranteed to be pack and look good TV.

Who needs the extra 25-30k tickets income?

I would say no due to the fact that the HBCU Fan is not like the FBS Fan.

Having the ballgames in closed arenas satisfies the HBCU Fan especially in Championship Games. They don't have to deal with the weather. The SCG and CB are good in the closed areas they are in not to mention they are in good cities for tourism.

SWAC Rivalry games on the other hand, should follow the PV vs. TX Southern model. People don't like to give credit to PV and TX Southern but they were extremely smart in scheduling their rivalry game so early in the season. Fans can then choose to save their money for specific games and have money left over for traveling to Championship and Bowl Games if possible. Having your rivalry game the week before a Championship strains the casual HBCU Fan's pocketbook.

Again, a lot of SWAC Folks want to maintain a "Status Quo" in the SWAC. Sorry, that Status Quo is all but gone.

I am looking at the attendance for the Celebration Bowl moreso than thinking about the SWAC Championship game..I didn't take in consideration the payout that we receive from the SWAC Title game good points...

Now it will be interesting to see if the winning team from the SWAC Title game will travel 2 weeks later to Atl we will see..

.

Yeah, all the major bowl games also fit that same criteria.

lmao

Maybe we should play it at Angola. We could have our own version of the longest yard. We'll probably get that better Nike shoe deal than

Lol but crazy thing is they have the Black Rodeo and its packed as hell. They have concessions and all kinds of crafts to buy. Whitefolks go there with trailers and rack up on those woodcraft furnishings.
