....is a muther ain't it! It has been like that for the last 2 years right?

What tickles me is when I read the comments of everyone that plays them, we are all hard on our Defensive people because they make our Defense look just that bad...

No smack at all, just giving respect!

You will be the ONLY one because everyone else says it is luck, it was raining, it was too hot, oh our regular waterboy wasn't there, you just PV.

Our offense hung 47 on those numbnuts without our top 2 receivers who usually give us 4 TDs between them LOL

Thanks for the props, just like I said #90 on your team is beast they just play him in the wrong spot and you see what happened when JSU slept on him, down goes Ivy

PV's offense is HARD to defend when it's going as intended. Your defense has to be damn near perfect on every play to keep from giving up big plays.

Salute! In all honesty it's a different beast with Simmons vs. having Orlando at the helm. Simmons is all about ball control. In one season we've gone from being last in time of possession to being first and still leading the SWAC in PPG. Orlando would have given the ball back to Southern with time on the clock Saturday. Simmons has a whole different method to his madness. He's plays his hand very close to his chest with his play-calling.

Lol

man you stop #3 and that's a wrap, nothing I seen impressed me, and SU was in good position to stop PV offense on several occasions

Ppl giving this offense too much credit, I would have put 2 ppl on #3,

They only ran 3 plays, the wheel route, the HB dump out the back-field, and the draw LOL..nothing special about this offense

Quinn had 1 catch but yet we scored 42 pts and left 21 out on the field smh

#87 fumble inside the 20, (driving)
The 4th down stop (should have scored)
TE missed the opening score, the QB could have walked in the endzone
Quinn dropped PT return (where he was going to house, cuz he had the left side, wide ass open which made him take his eyes off the ball)

Them dudes just got lucky, everybody else can pat you on the back but I know what really happened

Thank our Punter for that present

Just keep winning and we will see where both teams are at December

That's the most statistical AND physical damage Hebert has done is a game this season! Do you think that was by accident? You just pointed out three excuses. I could do the same thing but you get my drift...

Pv was better than us that day. But if we played them ten times i bet we beat 9/10.

And I bet you're a delusional Southern fan who's still salty about the homecoming loss... Go back to '04 and tell me how many games Southern has won against PV. 3 of your 5 wins were won in the first 4 years of that... So from '08 to this year Southern is 2-6 against PV.

'04 is when we finally got our full allotment of scholarships. ;)

Dude

Take away Hebert and you dudes don't win at all and the crazy thing with what all he did, and gift presents we gave yall, yall still should have lost,

what excuses on your end?

Again, yall offense is over-rated, you take ole boy out and yall have nothing going, matter fact you leave him in PV and ask yourself do you still win the game?

I'll wait

In all, PV, Gram, Alcorn, and SU has put up at least 30+ points in every SWAC game!!! To say, any1 of these teams offense is garbage, pooh, slaw, etc. is idiotic. Even Gram scored 50+ in a loss to BCU.

While exciting (for the fans) as these games are (scoring wise), it shows how and why we are not competitive outside our conferences....MEAC and TN State don't count.

I've read where SU made mistakes that MAY have cost points. But those are big if's. A dropped pass in the endzone would have been a touchdown. But some others are questionable. Who's to say if the punter had punted, PV may have scored a few minutes later anyway....especially on 3rd down.

Congrats to the winners. Winners get hyped for homecoming, not lethargic. Winners step up for big games, not makes unforced errors.

Hebert is a winner.

The rest of the Jags gave yall props, that's on them, but I call it like I see, We beat ourselves and played poorly, nothing special from yall I seen

We had yall in the 3rd and longs and couldn't get off the field, hell most of yall TDs came on 3rd downs and one or two were on blown coverages LOL

We literally walked the ball down the field at will on yall, and again we left 21-24 pts out on the field

Gave yall a blocked FG that yall scored on,

Gave yall a Punt drop and yall scored on (on the 1 yard line)..

Yall scored twice on 3rd and long on broke-down plays and #3 bailed yall out

LOL..man get outta here talking like yall have arrived, yall are no better than anybody else in the SWAC real talk

Real talk!! If PV played those two receivers yall would've limited Herbert ability to perform on the field. Herbert would have had a limited role on Saturday.

He just did exactly what I said, some people only give their team credit for anything, nobody else can be good but them

Man PV had several, several 3rd and longs, hell they even went for it on 4th down a few times and converted on us, so again, all this PV offense is this and that..miss "ME" with that

#3 is their offense and if SU staff made any adjustments at half, the game would have been a blow out on SU part....

BH, you do realize, statistically speaking, that SU's defense is the worst out of 10 in the conference w/ allowing 3rd down conversions, eh? 10th place, brah.

Guess who leads the SWAC in 3rd down conversion rate? Something had to give w/ respect to PVAMU having the football in 3rd and anything. PVAMU converted 11 of 16 3rd down conversions in the game vs SU. Something simply had to give.

Folk I aint posting to change your mind, but if you really think so that's Kool

But where were they better than us?

We put the ball on the field 6 times and still had a chance to win by 2 or 3 TDS

Dude you can pull stats outta the air, that don't mean a jack,

You dudes were in 3rd and longssssss and at times had to convert 4th downs...

We just didn't do a good job stopping number #3 (when everybody in the stadium except our staff knew he was getting the ball)

End of story,

if we stop/shadow him, those stats you just ran under, wouldn't mean a jack like I stated..

BH, this is CONSTANTLY mentioned throughout numerous articles written about the game as well as what we visibly see as well. Look @ this.... Where do you think SU's weakness is on defense?

OPP 3RD-DN CONVERT G Conv. Att. Pct.
1. Alcorn State 4 14 61 23.0
2. Grambling State 5 30 84 35.7
3. Texas Southern 5 25 66 37.9
4. Mississippi Valley 5 19 49 38.8
5. Arkansas-Pine Bluff 4 19 48 39.6
6. Alabama State 6 39 93 41.9
7. Alabama A&M 4 27 63 42.9
8. Prairie View 5 29 67 43.3
9. Jackson State 4 23 51 45.1
10. Southern 4 35 65 53.8

Big brother it's not even that, it's the defense that we ran Saturday night caused us to give us those points,

I can't speak on GSU or Alcorn because I haven't seen them in person, but no way PV should have scored 30 plus on us, We didn't take anything away from them, we take away #3 and I bet my posting career they wouldn't have scored 30 pts, and when I say take away, limit his catches,

They should have put a DB (Danny) on #3 and doubled him with a LB, but we put our SS (one on one) and MLB on him which he was much quicker and faster than them...

Everything else was pretty much a shutdown, #4 had a good game in the 1st half, but when we put DB #29 on him, I think he made one excellent catch and 29# was in position, and he had a long catch where he fumbled but other than that. nothing

But PV offense isn't garbage but it dayum sholl aint thread worthy to be putting on a pedestal.
