What Does This One Female SWAC Referee Have Against Alcorn?

So you don't think a long run after catch could have had a holding call on it?
I think that ref is extremely flag happy. She called one td back for illegal motion. The coaches got on her. We immediately ran the same exact play, and she didn't call anything the second time. I'm not convinced there's anything against us. Everything just went against us that day. Again, someone else is going to have a game taken away if she doesn't improve.

Do you know what illegal motion is? You could have run the exact same play, but CORRECTLY, and not get called for illegal motion.

This dude is giving me a headache!

We ran the exact same play with the exact same motion, identically. I saw it and the coaches and players saw it. Trust me. I know football. You're really taking up for someone who worked a game that you didn't attend. I wish her well this year.

I'm not taking up for anyone... my point is you are biased as a fan of that team and won't see anything that goes against them fairly.

J4L,

I am one of the most critiquing individuals on the site about my teams. I rather see if my team is doing all it can do FIRST before criticizing the referees.

With this being said, This referee had no clue what she was doing and it was obvious she was biased.

What's ironic and funny though at the same time is that a lot of JSU faithful were not happy about the win because it gave Harold Jackson more breathing room lol. They wanted a solid justification to why he should not be the JSU Head Football Coach.

Our assessment of photographic evidence is not bias. Neither was the coaches' of the video. You weren't at the game nor have you seen the film.

His old ass still under the gun

She made other bad calls in that game as well, including a key sideline interference on our team on a huge defensive third down.
.

Officials are taught to give a warning before they throw a penalty for sideline interference unless they run into a player or coach in the officials area on the sideline.

I've noticed that it's the same female ref always giving Alcorn bad calls in games. What did Alcorn do to her lol?

No, she's bad with all the schools especially hers........

J4L, you know she's cocky and is flag happy for the most senseless things.

I started to say she definitely doesn't show favoritism to her alma mater LOL.

I have interacted with her a lot and I'll just say she's definitely authoritarian even outside of football.

Now, I do have it on pretty good authority that the Alcorn coaches PISSED her off... LOL but Alcorn has gone out of their way to make it appear she blatantly cheated for JSU. .. even saying she is OMJs niece. She just didn't let Alcorn get away with missed calls but as far as I can tell, she DID miss that fumble by JSU... but JSU was resilient that day... nothing was gonna stop us from getting the W! That last defensive stand was CLASSIC! Alcorn's vaunted offense had NO CLUE!

If its the same short line judge that I'm thinking about, I doubt she's singling out Alcorn. Cause I thought she had it in for Bama State. LOL She seems to love throwing her flag.

MH, I believe she threw the flag signaling a holding call in last year's MCC after Cyrus had cross the goal line. it was a big call that decided the outcome of the game. After seeing her work several game, she does not understand the flow of the game. She looks to throw a flag on every play, lengthening the game and stopping a team rhythm.

Maybe she just has a keen eye for these penalties. We as fans sometimes see holding ALL DAY that is never called. Seems to me that she is making these teams play within the confines of the rules. If someone was holding, the TD by Cyrus should have been called back. SHE didn't affect the outcome of the game. The player she caught holding did!

We complain all the time about refs not doing their job and when we get one that does, people still complain. She is still on the sideline so obviously when they review her work, she is right in her calls.

Lol...I know television enjoys broadcasting 4hr games. Most refs want the players to decide the game and are reluctant to throw a flag in a situation that did not give the other team an advantage.

You HAVE to throw a flag if you see holding on a TD. If someone holds and a team scores because of it, that is not fair to the defense.

Lol this about sums it up. I was standing in the end zone on the 67 yd would be clincher with the action coming to me. I saw the catch and the wr cut up, he received a block from another wr that was already on the inside of the defender. There was no hold, it was a pitch and catch with a defender that got blocked too far away from the play to do anything.

As soon as he broke free the crowd went wild. I never celebrated. I looked directly at her. When it became apparent that the score was inevitable the flag came out. The lady completely took over the game. She had us checking with her after every big play to make sure it counted. No one wants to watch a game like that.

I'm glad that Alcorn isn't the only team to have had problems with her. Puts me a little more at ease honestly. I was scared to death she was going to ref the championship game.

Video evidence is much better than photographic. If you have that post it.

The video is bad, I think that was probably her worse call of the day. I take that back, it was several, too many to count really.
