Ok....see if none of them came I would believe this.
I find this story difficult to believe:
1. ANYBODY holds a nice to your neck. That is aggravated assault no matter how you look at it.
2. ANYBODY threaten you like that would be arrested especially if they threatened your life
So if BCU Administration knew all this why didn't they do something?
Now given this dude Jenkins is a good coach but come on man....somebody had a damn camera phone...LOL

These allegations are ASSinine. Some of the responses are ASSinine, and the manner in which this delayed info is being delivered is ASSinine. I mean, why the delay? And why now? The main ones "coming forth" all of sudden were the same ones holding to those championship trophies, basking in the afterglow. Now, all of a sudden they want to play Judas. Sounds like sour grapes if you ask me. If you ask me, bc's current outfit is only looking for an early scapegoat/sympathy vote for the losing season ahead. For once in my life, I'll be sitting on the opposite side rooting for meac school's while they tear these softies a new one.

ASU Interim Athletic Director Melvin Hines said he was aware of the investigation and the incidents that prompted it, and he said he knew of the allegations reported to the NCAA.
Hines also said that he made ASU trustees and ASU President Gwendolyn Boyd aware of the issues prior to Jenkins being hired on Dec. 16 and approved by the board on Feb. 5.
"I talked with Coach Jenkins about those issues, and he was very up front with me about everything," Hines said. "My view on that is that it's all personnel matters from his previous workplace and this is a fresh start. (The trustees and I) have discussed those issues, and I made them aware of potentially what could be out there."

However, Boyd, board Chairman Locy Baker and other trustees said they had no discussions with Hines about the problems. In an emailed response to several questions asking if Hines had alerted her to specific allegations levied against Jenkins, Boyd's only reply was: "No."
Baker also denied having a conversation with Hines but said he would wait and see what came of the potential problems.
"If it's true — and we don't know if it is or not right now — we'd have to act," Baker said. "But if there are NCAA issues out there, we'll have to wait and see what comes of them and make a decision."
Don't know exactly what's going on, but (from the outside looking in), something already doesn't seem right.

If you think the allegations are "ASSinine", why (in your opinion) did Alabama State (Interim AD Melvin Hines) feel the need to respond? And why would he (Hines) report that he'd mentioned the problems to Dr. Boyd and Board Chairman Mr.Baker? And why would Dr. Boyd and Mr. Baker deny they'd been informed of Coach Jenkins' problems/allegations?

Disgruntled individuals affiliated or once affiliated with BCU called Bama State's AD, BOT members, President Boyd and the local media about these allegations before Jenkins was selected as head coach. It hard to believe Baker and Boyd were not familiar with these allegations when most Bama State football fans have been talking about them since December.

This is all very sad. ASU is giving the impression that they want to win at all cost. This story is talked about nationally and on all media outlets/social media. Too many other problems should be more important for ASU than this story. Now, Jenkins & his drama are in the picture! SMDH....ASU"s accreditation issues with SACS are talked about also. Don't get that accreditation worked out and see what happens then!! Get your house in order ASU.

I understand the concept of "disgruntled" fans/alumni whenever a coach (especially football) leaves their school for an opportunity at another University. What I don't understand is that if these allegations have been communicated to ASU interim AD (Hines), to the ASU BOT, and Dr. Boyd BEFORE Coach Jenkins was hired, and if Hines really did communicate this to Mr. Baker and Dr. Boyd BEFORE Jenkins was hired, why was the decision still made to hire Jenkins? Why not delve a little deeper to see if there's any truth behind the allegations? Mr. Baker said in the article that if any NCAA issues are involved, they (ASU) would wait to see what those are BEFORE a decision is made. Why wait? Why not try to avoid a potential catastrophe BEFORE it hits?

Especially when a school defends them when they are currently their coach. BCU should have immediately fired and reported Jenkins to the NCAA once they found out about his coaching practices.
