FAMU is the "Big Fish in the Little Pond" in the MEAC. FAMU drives Attendence in the MEAC Period. No other school in the MEAC has the pull attendence nor name recognition wise as FAMU. BUT...FAMU has learned it costs money to drive to DC, Baltimore, etc. FAMU is considering a move to the SWAC.

I'm not Mad. More power to Bama State on this hire.. I've been to Daytona a couple times and yeah the beach is decent but I look over at that little bitty school and have no desire to check it out. It looks like a community college to me... He now gets to play in front of some bigger crowds, better facilities etc...All that FSC talk and you play in high-school atmospheres every weekend...It probably wore thin....

It is often said a winning Alcorn makes a winning JSU. Problem is, expectations can literally crush a coach. JSU folks will want a National Championship. SWAC Championship alone will not suffice. I actually feel sorry for that man.

Why ya'll so worried about JSU? The ONLY HBCUs that concern the MIGHTY JSU are Grambling and TNState. The rest of you will get one in every now and then but we have one thing you don't. WE ARE JACKSON STATE! YOU ARE NOT.
... and as for Jenkins, he is a good coach. The hottest on the HBCU market but he lost to a bad Norfolk State team last year and a bad Hampton team this year. Ain't nobody got reason to be scared of him.
