To be honest, FAMU we weren't a "bad" 9 loss team last season. We were a team that lost a lot of games late. Games like Delaware State where we jump out to a 21-3 lead and then lose 29-21...or the NCA&T where we missed a game winning extra point and lost in overtime...or the SCSU game in which the difference was the Bulldogs blocking a punt and returning it for a TD...we play teams tough, but haven't learned how to finish games. Tonight I thought we had finally turned the corner.

As for JSU, Ivy is gonna get better and I think Timmy Chang's offense really suits his skill set well. JSU can beat TSU

Exactly. FAMU is improved much on offense, especially that QB. FAMU's run defense improved in the second half as well. FAMU will surely win more than three games this year.

Come on Son. GTFOHWTBS

Don't think because your sorry, poorly coached team lost to a sorry poorly coached team, that they got a chance. It's going to get ugly in 1 town.

Then we go beat you like a homecoming opponent should be beat.

Another lie again. Tenn. State hasn't dominated JSU in no game in the last few years. As a matter of fact, JSU dominates Tenn. State but our MISTAKES usually beat us, not Tenn. State's talent or lack thereof.
As a matter of fact, JSU dominated Tenn. State in total yards 400 to 300. Only difference is our QB thought he was a "star" and tried to feature himself instead of his RB's.
Our running game also dominated Tenn. State.
Six turnovers in one game will kill any team's chances of winning.

Re: Gotta give JSU credit

Fleming was better than ive seen on film, but a lot of that had to do with how we were rushing him. He didnt do much damage with his arm, but we kept crashing the pocket letting him outside. My man RonFuller the DE is new to this so I hope the correct his errors. Taht bullshit iside the 5 was pissing me off. We have several FBs...put them big Fers in the game and go straight ahead. He kept snapping the ball in the shotgun and running sideways with players shooting the gap. That was some bull.

That game shouldve never been close, but the young coaching staff almost cost us the game.

I hope FAMU goes on to have a pretty good season since yall gave us hell. That #17 is legit....nice freshman RB too.

I'm still a fan of that old 3 Back scheme that we use to employ deep in the Red Zone. It gave us good QB protection, Run blocking and also the option to Pass!

Uhhhhh no. Check my sig. Series is 26-20-2.

Tenn. State didn't really start putting up a fight until the james b*ll years. Before that, JSU practically owned Tenn. State. Comegy didn't really seem to care about beating Tenn. State because he only wanted to win SWAC games.
We'll see what happens this year though. I'm looking forward to seeing another competitive game as usual.

Come on Kendrick, that was his first full game. He played better than I expected.

We was ok but Kendrick is right. Ivy plays too tentative. Now maybe this being his first full game in 3 years after 2 bad injuries had something to do with it. But he has to make some major improvements as the season goes on. Chang helped by calling a pretty conservative game but that started working against us later in the game as famu got more aggressive. And the WRs can't afford too many more drops.

Fuller only knows the inside rush. Once things break down he's not quite fast enough to track down and athletic QB. Famus QB was a long strider who was big enough to break tackles. Everytime he got outside the pocket I got scared.

You liked that freshman RB they had? I was cracking on that dude all game. He fumbled twice, one they gave back to him. I wish OUR freshman RB had played but he wasn't needed.

Can't put it on the QB when players drop passes. The offense is predicated on quick passes and this is a brand new system for the kid, yet he had close to 300 yards passing against a defense that had an above average pass defense and pass rush.

I agree that he was a bit reluctant to throw the long ball, but that'll come in time. He played better than I thought he would and he completed almost 60 percent of his passes with one interception out of forty two passes. About four or five of his passes were dropped....two in the endzone.

The offense needs to gel... I'll keep it real, we aren't ready for the scg this year but we will win a lot of games. Ivy will settle down by mid season. O and for ppl who say we are an even team with famu, that's false. They've had their coach and most of their team is experienced ie their qb. Famu will win more than three games for sure.

I didn't expect the defending East champs to struggle with MEAC team that lost 9 games last season, however, the new staff/new system jitters bug bits many times. JSU will have one more game to work out the wrinkles before they face a quality FCS program in Tenn St.

You talking good doc!

Let me help you.

FAMU is not a very good team right now. JSU is a slightly better team than FAMU.

Carry on!

Really!

Is that the reason he cried when he would get beat down by TSU and began sobbing when he finally got a W.

You can come up with a better excuse than that eazy!

Show the pictures of Comegy crying, otherwise more lies and fabrication. Nobody needs to cry about winning or losing to Tenn. State. I can see right through your fear and nervousness.

By the way, doesn't anyone else in the OVC care about Tenn. State? Just asking.

It's a done deal.

We will beat JSU and then JSU will start this senseless rhetoric about how we play in the OVC and how your coach doesn't really care about beating TSU.

You know how ya'll like to spin the SHC each year after catching a beat down.

TnSt is doo doo. I'm putting my money on FAMU when they play. And I ALREADY know that we about to skull drag them jokas in 2 weeks.

You don't even believe a word of what you typed.

You seem like a sensible guy. Just be happy you guys were able to pull a hail mary out of the hat!

You guys will be facing a team in TSU that is better coached and has better talent on both sides of the ball.

Dude, I'm just gonna keep it real. We gonna kick y'all asses from Memphis to Nashville and back to Belle Street. You really don't want to see this. After this practice scrimmage next week, we will have the kinks worked out and our redzone woes will be behind us.

I think you know the rest the goes with this pic.

FAMU gonna start the season 0-4.

FAMU wasn't supposed to win that game anyways lol. This should've been an easy meal for JSU, but this is why you play football. Never give up, I think that was a wake up call

Yeah, this game was over when FAMU RB fumbled that ball and we recovered, but those SWAC refs cheated us out of that fumble. The guy jumped in the air and got hit, spun around in the air and lost the ball. Those horrible SWAC refs gave the ball back to FAMU though.

Yep. I thought they were MEAC refs disguised as SWAC refs.:smh:
The ref closest to the play called fumbled but refs way down the field over-ruled him and gave the ball back to FAMU, then they scored with 46 seconds left.

Then the REAL fun began.
