WrestleMania 30= Total Bust!!!

Pretty much...Vince monopolizing on the business in the US pretty much hurt his business too. Yeah, there's TNA and Ring of Honor, but neither one has the market reach that WWE has. However, I do give Vince props for acquiring the film libraries from virtually every major U.S. and Canadian wrestling promotion ... which in turn is the backbone for the WWE Network.

Also some people fault Linda McMahon's unsuccessful runs for U.S. Senate as why WWE shifted from the Attitude Era to the current PG format. Although WWE now has deals with Mattell and other kid-friendly businesses.

But folks think the WWE style is all there is. I suggest looking up some stuff from New Japan. The Japanese style is a lot rougher (stiffer) and more athletic than the American style Hell, AJ Styles just signed a one-year deal with New Japan.

You know your stuff. To add to what you are saying, another downfall of pro-wrestling is when Vince basically told everybody it was “fakeâ€￾ or it’s “Sport Entertainment.â€￾ Some die-hard fans just stop supporting it. Those people who thought it was real were more entertaining than the wrestlers themselves. I would watch them more than the matches. I was at a show back in the day and a fan decided he was going to jump in the ring and help “Jake the Snakeâ€￾ fight. Man, security beat the crap out of him. That shyt was so funny. He ended up bleeding more than Jake. Those were the days. . .

I first got on ECW AND UFC going over my homeboy's house when they first took off so I knew when WWE took over ECW it was a wrap for them and 2 years into their deal with SyFy they folded. Vince bought out all of them competition or bought them out after they failed (WCW) and thus the reason why their product quality has gone WAY down. People are tired of the Cena/Orton/HHH always being in the main storylines and racking up title reigns (I am going to hate it when Ric Flair's 16 time WHC title reign record is broken by Cena or Orton).

And that Monday after Wrestlemania Raw is the reason why Daniel Bryan is majorly over and Cesaro will be after tonight. The WWE does a terrible job with not pushing the talent the fans want them to push (took Daniel Bryan two years to get a major push after the WM28 Raw went down). It's a crime shame Kofi always has a Wrestlemania moment and has NEVER got the strap and Dolph has become a jobber because he talked about managment.

That sounds like a few people on here.

That's what a lot of media folks say about it as well. That's why TNA and ROH always stress that they are WRESTLING companies and not sports entertainment.

Man please tell me you have footage of this! LOL!

Man please tell me you have footage of this! LOL!

Man, I wish I did but that was over 30 years ago when I was in high school. Back then instant video of what just happen was a foreign concept to a country boy from Louisiana. Even so, it used to happen almost every week. I even knew a lady that would bring her gun to the matches. She would say, "let one dem big sum bytches come out that ring, I got sometin fur um." We used to be full of cheap wine laughing our azzes off. Nowadays, it's a reason for gun control. But, back then we looked at it as harmless fun.

You should have seen the footage of Jeff Jarrett beating the living shat our of an idiot that jumped in the ring years ago.

Here's the footage:

I haven't watched wrestling in a long time but it is better than watching real housewives of atlanta or love and hip hop.

Don't understand grown men that watch that either honestly. Have never liked wrestling though, it's just beyond the point of being even halfway believable.

bruh if you like THIS wrestling and you grown... then you weird and lame... point blank...

LOL...dudes in the front row with a championship belt and some speedos on cheering like hell. I dont knock it but that's something i've never been able to get. Ah well.

LOL @ this thread. Some of you are some funny folks, LOL!!

They had me watching RAW last night! LOL

Why Paul E. Dangerously change his name?

Is Akbar still alive? See that's who they need to put it down like it's 'posed to be!

This Wrestlemania sucked big time.

1. I do not like the way they cut off Mr. T"s Induction Speech (and no it wasn't scripted). Yet you give Lita's ass nearly 40 minutes to talk? Horrible.

2. Of all wrestlers available to end Taker's Streak, they book Brock Lesnar? They could have ended the streak with HBK, HHH, or even Sting ...but Brock Lesnar? Horrible Decision. I always felt a masked Kane would really have been the streak ender.

Horrible Wrestlemania.

Wrestlemania raked in $10.9 million in gross...surpassing the 2013 Essence Festival that Beyonce headlined...

My only "gripe" is that Taker jobbed to Brock Lesnar. IMO, he should've dropped the streak to Bray Wyatt (Mike Rotundo's son/Blackjack Mulligan's grandson) next year.

Man... I'm still shaking my head at that. A part time wrestler is the one that got the Streak. And they wonder why people talk about them so much.

Because Brock Lesnar is the most legit pure fighter on the WWE roster. He made the switch to UFC years ago and became UFC champion. The decision for Lesnar to be the one to break the streak was made by Mark Calaway (aka The Undertaker) because of his respect for Lesnar's real life fighting skills.

Brock is legit, period. According to some, Taker wanted to drop the streak to Brock a couple of years ago. But kind of the backlash is that the streak could've made a younger peformer a money-making main-eventer for the future. Brock is a part-timer.

But TP, Paul E. Dangerously has been going by his real name since the old ECW (mid-1990s), that's not nothing new. More people know him by his real name than Paul E. Dangerously.
Skandor Akbar's been dead for years now.

Speaking of Brock, there's a legendary story about a backstage amateur wrestling match between him and Kurt Angle in which all the boys in the back made a circle and let Angle and Brock go at it.

but why did ANYONE have to break Undertaker's streak? He could have retired undefeated in Wrestlemania.

I hope he whooped angle ass!!! I hated that american flag spandex wearing bald head ass man!

Because big name stars always go out with a loss and putting someone else over. Ric Flair, Shawn Michaels, Mick Foley, etc.

Junkyard Dog was the King of head-butts.

I remember watching a kid knocking another kid out cold by head-butting him. He then ran and hop on a bus like the one below and tried to hide on the last row of seats:

Ok. The other one you posted was the story were Brock faced a drunk Curt Henning on an airplane.

Yup ... the infamous "plane ride from hell" situation...so much stuff happened on that flight...

Also, I remember a story about Arn Anderson fighting Sid Vicious in Britain and Sid stabbed AA with some scissors

He ended up being a crackhead. When I lived in Baton Rouge I use to work at the old Casino Rouge and he would be out there all the time full of that stuff. One night Security had to remove him for being disruptive. I think he’s dead now.

Not as good as the legendary Dairy Queen incident with Jim Cornette but still great
